★★★☆☆

Doors & Loot is a super casual rogue-lite with a charming design and simple controls. The story is told by collecting pages and conversing with NPCs in the starting hub area. Anyway, the main focus of this game is the tower-climbing aspect. The enemy variety is decent and I loved the details on the levels and characters and how different weapons and off-hand equipments change up the gameplay.

I couldn't bring myself to continue the grind for materials and leveling. Mostly because I felt the game just becomes tedious after defeating the first boss. The bosses are really cool though, and there are a few interesting rooms (like there's one with traps in them) which was a nice change of pace. The combat is pretty basic and gets tiring once the enemies become sponges for attacks. I grew tired quickly from mashing my mouse buttons. Thus, sadly, I couldn't bring myself to reach the true ending of this game.

I am giving a positive review because I really appreciate the care and effort of the developers who made this lovely indie game. They have improved their game a lot from its Early Access version. I've not encountered any bugs in my rather short experience. The achievements are worth the time, if you end up enjoying the game and manage to make it to the end.

A few suggestions: If the devs could find a way to spice up the combat (by adding combos, counters, dodges, etc.), and improve how rarity affects items (by adding special abilities, make them upgradable by resources, etc), and anything else that usually makes roguelites better, I think it would be a good incentive to keep people hooked.

Thank you Scalions Studios!

To anybody not familiar with Gravity Falls which also mentions an unrelated duck detective, check this out.

Anyway, this game is wonderful. It's got amazing art style and animations and the voice acting is just perfect. I love the sound design, and the story and characters (and the duck puns) are well-written. The gameplay is simple, and offers a ton of accessibility. It's a short game about whodunit, and it is really fun to solve.

P.S. Press Q outside of any interaction and see what happens. :)

Amazing roguelike with really fast-paced combat inspired by Mega Man: Battle Network. A bit challenging at first, but satisfying to beat if you are determined. Cool heroes/bosses, spells/artifacts and enemies/zones. Art style, animations and music are beautiful. Mods are neat too, if you're into that. Highly recommend!

Cute and short sliding block puzzle game about a girl named Nina and her cat, Neko. With calming music and beautiful artwork, this is a great cosy game. There are different difficulty levels which change the number of pieces for the puzzles for those looking for a challenge.

A good sequel to the free game called "Unsolved Case". The puzzles are more challenging this time which leads to more brainstorming with you coop buddy and is ultimately more satisfying to solve.

"Now I am become Pomeranian, the Destroyer of Households."

Short and cute game where you play as a fluffy puppy on a mission to unlock the "Good Smell" room and to realize the prize held within. The gameplay is pretty simple, you get dirty, run around, make a mess, repeat. It's a FREE game and worth your time. Please check the guides/comments on how to change the language through the settings. Just relax and enjoy this casual game.

Beautiful game with excellent voice acting and animations. Simple 60 seconds game loop with many endings. Kukula, the succubus, is so cute. Nice UI and soundtrack too. Overall, a banger of a free dating-sim/VN type game. The achievements are a pretty cool bonus.

Cute and exhilarating!
It has a cool twist where you control the horde of enemies as opposed to when you usually play as the hero that tries to level up in other games. The controls are simple and sprites and animations are adorable and the sounds are fantastic in this game. It's really commendable as this game was made in just 48 hours. Super short game but it is really fun.
