As we mark the first anniversary of Unboxing the Cryptic Killer, we reflect on a year filled with intrigue, puzzles, and thrilling detective work. This game not only captured the hearts of mystery enthusiasts around the globe but also helped us to set a new standard for our games. To celebrate this milestone, we're excited to announce the launch of our very first Puzzle Design Contest, inviting our dedicated community to become a part of our game development journey for our upcoming title, Parallel Experiment.

The Inspiration Behind the Contest

Unboxing the Cryptic Killer has been a phenomenal success thanks to our amazing community of players who have dissected every puzzle and unraveled every mystery with unmatched enthusiasm. What better way to celebrate the first anniversary than by inviting you, our brilliant Detectives, to contribute directly to our next project?

Contest Details

Starting on April 27, 2024, we're challenging you to put your puzzle-solving skills to the test and design a puzzle that could be featured in Parallel Experiment. Whether you're a seasoned game designer or a passionate gamer with a flair for challenges, we want to see your creativity shine.

How to Enter:

Submit your original puzzle design via the submission form available here[forms.gle]. Please provide a detailed description of your puzzle, along with any diagrams or visuals that help illustrate your concept.

Contest Timeline:

The contest kicks off at 7 PM CET on April 27, 2024, and all submissions must be received by 7 PM CET on May 4, 2024. Make sure to get your entries in on time to be considered!

Puzzle Requirements:

Your puzzle design should be creative, original, and challenging. It should fit within the world of Parallel Experiment. Consider elements like interactivity and the use of innovative mechanics.

Main Focus: Cooperativeness

Theme: A game found in a pub, including any pub specific items or an arcade.
Solution: A code or a series of actions leading to opening a drawer

Prizes:

The winner of the contest will have their puzzle featured in Parallel Experiment, receive a special mention in the game credits, and be awarded two copies of both Unboxing the Cryptic Killer and Parallel Experiment once it comes out. It’s your chance to become a part of gaming history!

Selection Process:

Submissions will be judged by our team based on creativity, originality, cooperativeness, and how well they integrate with the themes of Parallel Experiment. We're looking for puzzles that are not only clever and challenging but also fit seamlessly into the narrative and gameplay of our upcoming game.

This game is very cool if you have a friend that likes puzzles and you like them too, it gets more difficult sometimes when you pass every phase.
Would def recommend and its also very cheap so 10/10 would play it again with other friends in the future :)

It works for one person, but not the other

When my partner joins and I press start a pop up saying "Failed creating the game, please try again later" comes up. But, when she creates a game it works for her but not for me.

Game completely bugged at 2nd playthrough [spoilers lvl1]

So, we both have the game on our computer my bf and I and we played together (me as Ally) and everything went smoothly and was very nice. Few days later, I wanted to do it but as Old Dog so we launched the game and started at level 1 (so SPOILERS FOR FIRST PUZZLE) we tried to tell each other our colors but the white square just stopped appearing after a while and we both had colors which were not working. We relaunched the game and party 3-4 times and everytime we ended with both a color for each other, no...
