If you like space exploration sandboxes but don't want to get too bogged down in the simulation part (i.e. Elite Dangerous, Space Engineers) this game is perfect.

When it first came out I was it's biggest critic, going so far as to pirate the game just to see how bad it was. Now, (probably sooner than now but I started actually playing it for this current patch) this game is absolutely fun and fantastic. It's got building elements on both the ground and on your ship (specifically the frigate), an easy, medium and hard mode presets for all varying styles of play (you can also manually change specific things in the difficulty menu). The multiplayer is just the right amount to make you enjoy the game with friends but also easily playable alone. Usually my friends and I just sit in discord doing random ♥♥♥♥ until one of us finds an event and we all jump there.

This is a fantastic game and I actually respect Hello Games for putting so much time and effort into this game through ALL FREE UPDATES. I am greatly awaiting their next game. Though I won't pre-order it, I have great expectations for their next game.

I have never seen a character that wholly embodies me like The Noise. This game is absolutely amazing from a design, game play, and general art standpoint. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing. Literally 10/10 game, personal GOTY from 2023.

This game is great and I enjoyed it. However the fact that to gain access to 3 of the 6 doomsday scenarios, that IN the trailer video shows as released, is to go onto their discord and stream/advertise the game for them is hilariously scummy. If that's the case that you want to lock content from normal people, then DON'T include the stuff in your trailer.

I played this RPG when I was a kid, ironically before Trigger, and I fell in love with the music and battle system. I'm not much of a JRPG person anymore but I can always go back to some of my personal classics and this is one of them.

The story gets a little loopy at the end, but I thought it was great for how strange it was, and I know a lot of people complain about how many characters there are; I simply think of it as another opportunity to replay and get different paths.

I cannot recommend this game enough; but I would probably say be a fan of the classic turn-based JRPG style before buying!
