Uii... Where to start...
FIrst of all, I finished the game in about 10hours+ (and I am a completionist) but I have to admit that I had to force myself to finish it quarter into the game and again halfway into it. And it gets better at the end. When after 10 Chapters of Tutorial you finally have all the tools you will get and get shoved into real challenges.

At the end I finally got my head around what was bothering me all the time:
The world feels terribly dead and boring. Sure, it is a ratpocalypse but the developers made a great effort to visually impress the player but they forgot to make the world feel alive. There is no immersion which sucks you into the world and in turn into the story.
I do not expect a functional economy with NPC-to-NPC trading but I do expect atleast some NPC´s at all. The game is basically consisting of 2 types of characters: Your companions and enemies you can kill. Nothing more. There is no caravan of refugees or some townsfolk that are packing their stuff to leave town. There is just noone there.

Furthermore the game is not just linear, it is foreseeable. Think of Mass Effect where at some points you go around a corner and see a lot of obstacles and cover, so you know:"Ah, well load the gun, there is a fight coming up" In the meantime you are just walking down the railroad track looting badly hidden stuff and seeing a cutscene once in a while.

But don´t get me wrong, the game is, from a technical aspect, flawless and visually impressive. The story which is the focus of this game would be genuine and interesting wouldn´t it be for the lack of immersion.

So I sadly can not recommend it. Not unless it is lower than 15€ on sale. Then it is worth the 10hours of time (it is cheaper than going to the movies 5 times)
