Resident Evil 2 Remake - the perfect revival of a classic.

Capcom has managed to do the incredible - Resident Evil 2 Remake doesn't just retell the story of the legendary 1998 horror, but reimagines it, keeping the spirit of the original and offering modern mechanics.

Atmosphere and visuals
The first thing that strikes you is the incredible detail of the environments. The city of Raccoon City and the police station building are rendered with loving attention to detail: dilapidated corridors, shivering lights, pools of blood and shadows hiding the unknown create a sense of anxiety and fear. On the RE Engine, the game looks amazing - especially impressive are the lighting effects and realistic zombie animation.

Gameplay and Balance
Capcom carefully reworked the game's mechanics, replacing fixed cameras with a third-person view, but retained the survival feel. Limited resources force you to think through every expenditure of ammo and health kits, and the leisurely but tense pace keeps you in constant suspense. Mr. X, who now stalks the player in real time, adds to the game's horror and unpredictability.

Plot and Characters
The story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield is presented with new details and excellent acting. The characters are livelier, their motivations are better developed than in the original, and dialog is more natural. The game's two scenarios still offer a different perspective on the events, making the playthrough more variable.

Conclusion
Resident Evil 2 Remake is a reference remake that shows how to revive a classic. It combines a tense horror atmosphere, excellent graphics, elaborate gameplay and an engaging story. It's not just a game for fans of the series - it's one of the best horror games of the decade.
