Yeah. Hype's real. Good game.

This is damn close to what I was always chasing with Stalker Anomaly. Once the modding scene develops a bit more, we're even more back.

Look it's not perfect but if you've been chasing the FEELING that old Stalker or DayZ offers, this is it.

The vibe of this game is real strong. I dig it.

I started out quite positive on this game.

But the magic of these games is Exploration and Discovery, and this has almost none of it.

Once I found a completely identical location on two different planets, the illusion was broken forever. You'll never find a unique item or stumble into a cool quest. Everything starts to blur together, and there is suddenly no incentive to explore.

In a Bethesda game. No incentive to explore.

It's sad.

Easy jump into my top 10.

I always liked this game. Feels great to play, all the game parts of it have always been fantastic.

Now the surrounding systems are good too. You can make the builds you want without too much fuss, and have a good time playing games with your friends.

This was a very good game.

The combat is extremely dynamic. Rather than "make HP bar go to zero", you can "Shoot off the bits that allow it to hit me with ranged attacks, staple it to the ground, light it on fire, and fill it with holes". Makes fights feel hectic and exciting.

The game has great visual design, and I miss being in the mountains, so this helps a lot. It's a very pretty game, and photo mode is quite nice for making desktop wallpapers.

The writing is quite good, and the voice acting is also damn fine. I would die for Aloy.

I'm glad I got to play this game. It had me seriously choked up by the end, and I can heartily recommend it to anyone.

I want to like this game. On paper, it seems like everything I want. The team that made New Vegas, working on their own IP in that style. And honestly, I think if this had come out 6-7 years ago, I might have loved it.

I don't.

This game just feels hollow. With the fallout games, even the...less amazing ones, I had this sense of wonder and mystery when I was exploring the world. I have not gotten that ONCE in this game. I haven't found the joy of discovery. It might be the more enclosed areas, but I find myself just ignoring the world around me and going through the motions. Shoot thing, get loot, get tickbox for quest completion. The world is so unresponsive to you, and any semblance of verisimilitude seems to be entirely non-existent.

I keep searching for the magic that this sort of game held for me in the past, and I can't find it.

Also, there's something about the color palette that hurts me eyes.

You could do worse, but for me, there's nothing as frustrating as wanting so desperately to love something and not being able to.

This game is extremely good. Feels great to play, wonderful approach to storytelling, lovely art direction, all that.

I don't know if you'll enjoy it, but I think you should find out, because I sure as hell enjoy it.

In 2020, this made me feel genuine joy, wonder, and amazement.

This game feels like it was made to delight ME SPECIFICALLY. I find the aesthetics and presentation utterly captivating. I love the environments, I love the SCP influence but with their own confident spin, I love the voice acting, I love the characters, and I enjoy the gameplay greatly. I even love the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FONT they use to introduce new areas.

I've spent the entire time I've played either with my jaw on the floor, or with a big stupid grin on my face. I cannot recommend this enough.

It is my favorite game of all time now.
