Fellas... We're so back.

Ok it's fun again.

I really like this game! It's unfortunate that it didn't release with online mode as I'm not good enough on my own to 100% the achievements, but I'm looking forward to being able to grind this out with friends.

It's so good honestly.

I do really enjoy this game, I think it's a pretty solid fighter and a lot of fun, but the amount of money they're trying to nickle and dime out of the players is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ INSANE to me. Multiple $10 skins, $12 fatalities, $10 announcer voices, announcer voices for DLC characters being sold separately in the shop, etc etc etc. It's just wild to me that they expect people to fork over so much cash for a game that's already twisting your arm and trying to encourage you to drop $110 on it for both the game and character pack.

Frankly, while it's filled to the brim with FOMO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I think you're much better off waiting for a sale and just ignoring the shop altogether.

Pretty fun game, I enjoyed it a lot even if I got stuck a few times and had to look up a guide. It's straightforward enough that I think a lot of people can get most of it though.

This DLC is so interesting.

While it lacks the cool knives and time stop Sakuya's campaign has, I have to admit that it makes up for it by having really good map design, something I found lacking in Sakuya's base game. My biggest complaint with the base game was that the maps felt... not super thought out in a lot of cases. Not terrible, but not interesting or particularly memorable, especially with the repetitive interiors making them all seem to blend together most of the time. Most of the fun I'd have with Sakuya's campaign came from hard and lunatic mode where I'd mess around with the completely busted weapons that made the encounters a lot of fun. Reimu fixes this by having genuinely beautiful maps that are cleverly thought out and visually distinct from one another. Not only this, but the levels are also littered with more items from start to finish. This is a nice change because the Sakuya maps are pretty barren, with most pickups being something you get at the very beginning of the level with almost nothing inbetween that and the ending. It just generally makes the gameplay more interesting.

It's actually kind of a shame because I feel a lot of people will play the original base game without ever experiencing the more fun levels this DLC has to offer. Part of me hopes that the original Sakuya campaign may get a small overhaul, or at least some rebalancing because this DLC shows that the people behind this can make some really good levels, and I feel the Reimu DLC shows this off a lot better than the Sakuya ones.

Either way, definitely suggest picking this up if you already own the base game.

It's not super duper amazing, but I had a bit of fun with it after buying it on sale.

Sidenote: I highly suggest you get the Reimu DLC if you're going to get this game

Very nice game, biggest complaint would be framerate drops after you get a pretty sizable cult going but that might just be a me thing.
