Gameplay is great, the development team is very competent and this is a fantastic flight sim when you avoid the arcadey modes.

Unfortunately this game is under control of some of the worst publishers in the industry, this is one of the grindiest F2P games around, and any of the cool looking modern things you've seen in a sponsor spot are absolutely soft paywalled behind huge progression hurdles that require premium accounts and premium vehicles to overcome.

There are brutal repair costs to ensure that even if you unlock one of these modern vehicles, you won't be able to afford to buy it. I can almost guarantee that as a F2P player you will not see a vehicle like an F-16 even in 1000 hours of game time. I'm at 3000, and I've unlocked pinnacle vehicles in 3 nations, that's with premium time and premium planes on my side though.

Not worried about progression and just want to fly WW2 planes around with your flight sim gear? It's OK, Gaijin hates you too! In sim mode it costs you game currency to even spawn in a plane. Better put on your grinding boots and play a repetitive arcade game mode with mouse and keyboard so you can build up a war chest before you even think about VR and HOTAS.

Great game, bit dated now but still worth the play.
You can go ahead and ignore the recent review bomb, bunch of salty bois upset they have to download it from a different company now.

Great story focussed single player.
Took about 35 hours to finish a high exploration run on hard completing most side quests, probably about 20 hours in it if you just stick to main story, but in hard you may be struggling with lack of materials/skills if you rush story and don't collect resources or explore side areas.

Branching choices and the ability to kill NPC's as you see fit is always enjoyable. Combined with a trove of hidden acheivements gives the game decent replayability. Hidden acheivements encourage 'challenge' runs which are enjoyable and would make the game quite difficult.

Only complaint would be that if you take the time early game to collect resources and do side quests, the game becomes a bit too easy in the late game with over upgraded weapons and essentially unlimited ammo. All end game enemies die in like 2 hits, and even the Nightmare enemy can be taken down with less than 1 clip of ammo

All in all, 9/10 would turn into a banana peel again

This was very good, picked up new order and this on the steam sale and played them back to back.
Both games are great, New Order was maybe a bit better at doing emotional stuff, but this was a lot more exciting and funny.

Action is great on both games.
This one is a lot harder than New Order when selecting the same difficulty level.

10/10 would step in Hitler's puke again

Very immersive, great visuals and a soundtrack that fits well.

This is not a game for people that do not enjoy a challenge (as you can see from the neg reviews). Get ready to die a whole bunch of times.

Mouse and keyboard controls are not good at all, I'm a PC gamer and I shouldn't have to buy a console controller to make a PC game playable. If the devs look at how Everspace handles the control system for an arcade space game then they would probably retain a lot more players and have better steam reviews.

Game only has servers in NA and EU. If you're anywhere else in the world get ready for a laggy frustrating experience.

Graphics a big let down after seeing the promotional videos, even on max settings.

Played 5 matches, only saw 2 different maps.

Disappointing that the ships and weapons systems have no EVE Online flavour. May as well call it Generic Space Dogfighter - Warzone

Really great, been playing it all night. Just monstered a round in a DIY apache. Heaps of fun
