Very solid classic SRPG. Fun combat and a good, cosmic story. Would love to see more with this engine and in this world.

Some of the absolutely worst combat I've ever experienced. Sadly, it ruins an otherwise good game.

It's a little rough around the edges, and the jump scares are more annoying than scary, but it's enjoyable enough, especially if you get it on sale. Largely being the work of a single person makes those rough edges smoother.

I really quite liked this one. I enjoyed it more than their previous Darkness Within games. The puzzles were more straightforward and easy to understand what the game expected you to do. It's a very moody, atmospheric game.

A great and faithful sprucing up of the original. Krome knows what they're doing and this remaster is just wonderful.

Not a full-throated recommendation, but a recommendation regardless. The first three chapters are mostly brilliant (a bit too much aimless wandering looking for things, but it's fine) and I loved working my way through them. Sadly, chapters 4 and 5 were much less enjoyable, and frequently left me saying "oh come on!" or "this isn't fun, game" or "what am I supposed to be doing here, game?"

That said, on the whole, I'm glad I played and I enjoyed playing it on the whole. Excellent music, great visuals, a really creepy atmosphere, and a great story. Well worth the frustration.

It's a hesitant recommendation.

When it's good, it's really really good. When it's bad, it's pretty awful. The exploring, puzzles, interaction and all that stuff is great, and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the story and the various choices we were given.

Unfortunately, there's the stealth/chase sequences. One is brutally long and completely unfun. Another is very short, but the game gives you now information about what you're actually expected to do. The sequence itself isn't too bad, but you're given nothing about what you're supposed to do which leads to frustrating trial and error or looking up in a guide.

And then there's the Trial and Error chapter towards the end. Nope, you walked on the wrong plank, start over. Nope, you turned the wrong wheel, start over. Nope, you took the wrong staircase, start over (and watch a 30 second unskippable cut scene again). This chapter is nothing but repeated trial and error with no ability to actually figure it out through anything other than trial and error. No little clues, no studying the environment, just blind luck. In a game about investigating and thinking, it's really pretty out of place.

But those deeply frustrating moments aside, it's a really fun game. With your choices and actions throughout the game impacting the ending, there's plenty of replay. Potentially. Unfortunately, those stealth and chase sequences are making me seriously hesitant to replay the game.

It took me about 10 hours to beat the game, top to bottom, playing blind and trying to explore and find things. That, combined with the frustrating sections means I don't think I'd recommend paying full price for it. I'd wait for a sale.

A nice little murder mystery of a game. Plenty of adventuring, reasonably intuitive puzzle solving, and the actions pieces are enough to require your attention without being frustrating or oppressive. It's actually a pretty relaxing and fun game to play, even if the side quests and stories are more interesting than the primary quest.

Clustertruck is a very stupid game. You run along the backs of semi trucks, jumping and dodging hazards as you head towards a goal. Each level is about 10-15 seconds long. You'll die. A lot.

That's it. That's the game. It's very, very stupid.

It's also almost ridiculously fun. I really can't explain it, but this is some of the most fun I've had playing a video game in a long time. Considering the price, it's well worth purchasing. I have a sinking suspicion that'll I'll end up sinking hours into this silly thing.

A short little murder mystery told from the antagonist's viewpoint. It moves at a nice little clip, and after a playthrough or two, you find yourself plotting everything out from your conversations to the order you move about the house to what you'll take and use.

It's a fun little time killer with well defined goals.

That said, the only thing I might change would be a way to speed up the conversations. When you're on your fourth or fifth playthrough in a row, you want to skip ahead faster. Still, a fun game worth playing, especially considering the price.
