Likewise I too have plenty of well developed tanks on my 10 year old WG account but never really explored the newer lines so that's where I'm going with the Steam account rather than just add on my old one.

LOL.. well that's an instant no from me too then. only have a couple hundred tanks already.. why start over >_<

LOL - never claimed "everyone" did that, however Wargaming' design of WoT is to dangle the carrot and compel most folks towards constantly chasing the next meta tank in the tree as quick as possible. If you don't want to grind then fast-tracking takes lotsa $$$, I don't want to pay too many $$$ but don't mind the grind as I'm not chasing meta tanks and not in any hurry to get to tier X:) Each to their own

LOL - I never minded the low-tier grind so not a terrible experience with new re-roll :) You do get some Steam perks too so play until the prem time runs out then go back to your main for a year. Come back and WG/Steam will load you up with enough perkes for a week or so. Maybe drip feed some gold or prem if you want to catch some events.
