If you played the original and always wanted a remake of this game, specifically that went above and beyond the remake of the first game by updating it to today's standards, then honestly this is an easy purchase. Not long before this remake was announced I was thinking about a way to remake both Resident Evil 2 and 3 (more so 3 because that was my favourite of the originals) and this remake went above and beyond what I had imagined a remake of this game could be. The atmosphere is fantastic, Mr. X is even more intimidating than he has ever been and Birkin and his many forms look incredible and are really fun to fight and some enemies that were more annoying than threatening in the originals are actual threats if not taken seriously.
Other than some minor gripes, like how sometimes in awkward places you can get chain grabbed by zombies or Lickers sometimes knowing where you are even if you are walking slowly and haven't touched them or alerted them in anyway, my only real gripe with this game is it's too short. It's a wonderful recreation of a game I loved, which is why I wished there was so much more of it.
I have high hopes for RE3make when it comes out and hope that they take every bit that made this game good and put in the effort to make RE3 even better and hopefully a little longer.
