If you are looking for a GOOD voxel building game, then there is none like Space Engineers. if you are looking for a similar building system, but with great survival mechanics and places to explore, then space engineers is not for you. Unfortunately, even though there is multiple planets, there is nothing to see there other than the scenery each planet has to offer. There is no real wildlife, no outposts/stations to visit. Only pirates, but they send drones and once you have destroyed their base, there is nothing that is gonna bother you, unlees you go look for another pirate base that could be anywhere on this massive planet.

THOUGH a lot can be fixed with mods, if you want a harsh survival experience with enemies spawning and attacking your base, but it still doesn't give that sense of exploration a game like empyrion or 7 days to die can give (IMHumbleO).
