I've mined more enjoyment out of this game than any of the Payday games. This game, while fairly unstable, feels much more fair and balanced compared to the Payday games, as well as more forgiving. The average heists are fairly boilerplate, though I like how they have subtle differences every time you play them, making the experience feel less repetitive. The big heists are quite fun, though there aren't very many of them.

Despite all of this though, I still get smacked with the idiotic Out Of Video Memory error quite frequently, which is honestly a joke, considering my specs are more than enough to run this on nearly max settings. This error is so completely pointless that you can even sometimes continue playing the game by ignoring the pop-up window without any issues until you reach a loading screen, then it's a 50/50 shot as to whether or not it freezes.

If they fixed just this one issue, this game would be damn near perfect, and I wouldn't have to crank the settings down just to reduce the chances of the error coming up. I still recommend this game.

Super cute game that has more depth to it than you'd think. Fun by yourself, but more fun with friends!

As of update 1.69, I'm no longer able to play 3/4ths of the game due to Rockstar's implementation of BattlEye Anti-Cheat. Considering how bland the singleplayer is and how much space the multiplayer portion of the game takes up, I cannot recommend this game any longer to anyone who would want to play this on Linux or Steam Deck. Lame.

Game is kinda rough around the edges gameplay-wise, as well as the story pacing, but is still the second best of the remastered trilogy.

It's not that bad. Repetitive, but still has a solid enough formula to be fun. The Bethesda.net matchmaking implementation is a joke though that hardly ever works.

A mediocre sequel to a mediocre game. It's fun but similar to the first game- it feels unfinished and half-baked. I preordered the first game, but didn't bother with this one and I don't regret it at all. That all being said, if it goes on sale for $10 or less, it's well worth that price. Good combat loop, but the story somehow manages to be more shallow than RAGE 1's story, which was already pretty shallow. One positive (for some) is that this sequel doesn't take itself very seriously at all, but some might also view that as a negative. New gangs are kinda dumb, but the Ghosts in the Deluxe Edition DLC at least feel like their old selves. Shrouded feel more like Gearheads, Goons are the Wasted but without any of the style, and the River Hogs are supposedly supposed to be the Scorchers and Jackals but don't feel at all like either. This review is starting to sound negative... ha! Even with all this considered, I still enjoyed the game and am looking forward to running through the game again on Ultra-Nightmare.

Game has lost its way. Not nearly as good as it used to be.

Has all the stuff 1.6 has and more. The hostage AI was improved and the maps look great for the most part (barring the detail texture usage).
