It's as fun as it is challenging. For how polished and deep this game is, it's surprising that it's free, I'd happily have spend $5 for it.

TL;DR This game isn't the KSP2 we never got, it's its own thing.

For anyone who enjoyed KSP and is looking for a proper successor, this isn't it. It's a good game but a much different experience, it's a lot more simulator than game. If that's all you're looking for then I would recommend it, but most people are coming from KSP. I really wanted to like this game but it lacks charm. The main menu is just the title with a play button. You don't get to see your space center after loading your save, you either build a craft or launch it and that's it. There is no tracking station, you can only see the map in-flight. The editor is just a solid color background and your craft. There's nothing wrong with the game, these aren't necessarily bad things. The physics works, the sound design is alright, the graphics are fine, the controls are good, but it just feels sterile. This game is better than KSP on the technical level, but falls short elsewhere.

Minor complaints:
- When flying you can't see or change your staging.
- You only see fuel per-stage, not per-engine.
- There is no key bind to go to 1x speed (though there is a pause button).
- In-atmosphere time warp is limited to 2x.
- The looping audio of the electric propeller is very obvious and annoying.

The controls are somehow worse than the original. Garfield Kart 1 is better.

One of the richest and most complex stories I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
