Early Access Review
The physics based combat system of this game is challenging, but extremely rewarding. You constantly have to be aware of your surroundings, because you could slip and fall, or your weapon swing might not connect because you hit a wall. The same applies to your enemies, however, which you can utilize to your advantage. The athmosphere is diablo-like dark and super dense, due to the perma-death and the challenging combat. You can enable an "easy"-mode in the options where you get a checkpoint that is triggered when you enter a new dungeon level for the first time (which I recommend). But please be warned: After a certain transportation device, the game will not create any further checkpoints. I found that out the hard way and started backuping my savegames every now and then, just so I can experience all the content. This game has so much potential, but sadly, there is currently only exploration and combat as far as content / activities are concerned. No quests and no actual ending, and I somehow doubt that this will ever change, considering how long this game has been in early access. Still, I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who would like to try a unique fresh take on the the ARPG genre with a pretty difficult spin. If you do give it a shot, be sure to enter the practice area of the arena first or you WILL get killed by the very first enemy you face.
