A very enjoyable sci-fi city builder RTS-game heavily inspired by the "Mars" trilogy of Kim Stanley Robinson.

I agree with the previous reviewers that the game without the full set of DLC seems to be a little dull, without a sense of accomplishment. The goal of the game however is the adaptation in the hostile environment of the red planet - with the ultimate goal of transforming it into the habitable globe with a breathable atmosphere. There are, of course, smaller milestones on the way there , like achieving the first clean rain or seeing the first seeds sprouting . As such, the must-have from the DLC list is most definitely the Green Planet.

The visuals are neat, and so is the soundtrack - hours of pre-recorded radio stations to choose from will brighten each playthrough. Great mod support allows you to tailor the already broad variety of buildings into the need of your future colony. Also, the deeply customizable starting condition will ensure that no game is like the previous one.

All in all, it's definitely worth buying, preferably on a small discount, and in a bundle with the DLCs.
