A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse.

This is a tough sandbox to get into. Early courier quests and bandit fights will feel like a grind. If you haven't picked the noble start, then attracting the attention of a monarch will be a thankless task. Nevertheless, Mount and Blade is a deeply interesting sandbox into which to get invested. Leading a siege from the front of your own attentively cultivated band of mercenaries is a feeling that is still unique to this series. In my game time, I have only scratched the surface of castle management and mercantile gameplay. The graphics and dialogue trees make it hard to love at the best of times, but there is definitely sweetness under that bitter exterior. And that's not even touching on the mods! If you enjoyed Crusader Kings but wanted to get your hands a bit more dirty, highly recommended.

Have you considered rushing Great Library to Irrigation?

This marks one of the few times I have actively tried to train myself through difficulty levels in a game. I skipped Civ 4 after having played a substantial amount of Civ 3 and this one remains my favourite even above Civ 6. This installment represents a perfect point of readability and playability that make it an excellent entry point to people who want to get better at games, and particularly strategy games, in general. Very much worth the buy, even without the expansions - brave new world I think is particularly unnecessary but they are worthy add-ons in a sale.

A solid, underrated entry in the series. Best multiplayer of all three and I will definitely defend that to the last bow. Also, best fashion souls. Throne Watcher outfit and Throne Defender outfit will complete any true bro's wardrobe.
