Murdered by EA when they squeezed it between battlefield 1 and cod and declared a flop, it's he most overlooked and underrated fps game of all times. And that's a damn shame, because it has:
* a wonderful 5h-ish singleplayer campaign with feels
* active multiplayer PvP and PvE
* insane fluid movement
* great feeling weapons
* TITANS, the gigantic mechs Apex Legends (which is in titanfall's universe) doesn't have, with additional ultimate mechanic
* weapon and titan customization offering diverse gameplay styles
Get it on sale - it goes on sale with every Steam sale, but even at full price it's worth it. Respawn fixed the hacker/ddos problem which was plaguing titanfall 2 for years, making the game playable again around Fall 2023. The game was so good that even when the original client was suffering, people made Northstar client to be able to play - this says something about how good the game is that even 3rd party solutions were made to keep it alive.
A big thumbs up, it's worth for the singleplayer campaign alone, which is one of the better stories told in fps games. But try multiplayer too, if you like fast paced combat and cutthroat no hands holding PvP, you won't be dissapointed. You can trap enemy pilots in a gravity grenade and then shoot them, you can step on them or meelee them with your titan, you can perform executions on titans and pilots or you can rodeo a pesky titan and steal its battery or throw a grenade into its hatch, the weapons range from hitscan to relatively slow moving balls of hate. There's lot to uncover and explore wrt mechanic, and campaign has a replayability value in the form of hidden collectibles, and speedrun community which gatered around this game (search YT for "titanfall speedrun" but AFTER you do the singleplayer campaign, because spoilers). I love this game and I have over 300hrs in it now on Origin/EAApp, but recently I transferred over to steam to be able to change game language. EA being EA region-locked the game language to PL/RU where I live and when I made a bad decision to give them more money and purchase deluxe edition (some weapon and titan skins) it re-locked itself (I had international key before). Luckily, steam purchase solved that and now I have intl. version with Polish included. Thanks GabeN ♥
