Okay, I just completed the second layer of the game and I can say with certainly this is an instant all-time classic.
It takes me back to a few years ago when my college buddy and I discovered hollow knight in our freshman year, and subsequently couldn't stop obsessing over it together until everything was solved. A game which was also discovered through the Dunkster.

There's so much more I want to say, but I can summarize it as follows. If you have any interest in platforming, casual puzzle solving, and or animals and wells, $15 is criminal for this carefully crafted and unique experience. I wish I could play it all for the first time again.

No AAA BS, just endlessly repeatable arcade fun. What more can you ask for.

Truly a game of all time

I played Muck last year by myself for maybe 15 minutes. I thought "meh, I don't really get it" and put it down, not to be picked back up until just this past week. My friend wanted to play, so we played together -- and I have to say the multiplayer connection is INCREDIBLY smooth!! Well, we sucked at first but then, and I REALLY recommend any struggling players do this, I took a quick read of the Ultimate Muck survival guide and got a better idea of the gameplay functionality. Then today, I had the MOST fun on my own and the progression really clicked. This is a TON of fun, and does not have business being free. Looking forward to playing with more of my friends in the future!

No clue why no one is talking about this game, it's great! For a game coming out in 2022, it could definitely use some higher resolution textures, smoother runtime, fishing, and mod compatibility, but oh well! Bethesda probably has a lot of other things going on. Guess I'll have to wait and see!
