You better know what you're getting into when you play this game. Anyone familiar with the tabletop may enjoy the nostalgic element of this game. There are a few elements that are frustrating... like the very long, but optional, story missions... but overall I'm very happy with this game.

TLDR: Get this game on sale. $5-$10 is a fair price for this game.

Unfortunately I paid full price when this game was released on the premise that this would resemble the Portal series. The puzzles are ridiculously simple, but the story is very rich and has some thought provoking concepts rooted in actual science. If you're looking to kill a few hours in an easy to 100% game, go for it. I just would not have paid full price for this with how short the game is.

Honestly this game is great for what it is and has a ton of potential. It does tend to get a little glitch and dull the longer you play tho. If the devs add more content then this game is where its at for space sandbox. 7/10 for now.

This game is GREAT if you have other people to play with. I would gladly return to it anytime I have friends available... but I can't recommend this too much for single player. Still worth the price for your first playthrough and messing around, but not for a longterm solo experience. If anyone would be interested in a small server we can communicate through twitch or discord, I'm interested.

With all the hype I was really expecting more...


I was told the difficulty of this game was going to be similar to Super Meat Boy and I was very disappointed. Even on higher difficulties you can beat all the stages with enough practice. I suppose the same is true of SMB but it just didn't feel as challenging. The art style and "feel" of this game is great though! I highly commend the creators and recommend this game for anybody looking for a casual platformer.

I bought this game when it came out and was very quickly distracted with the settlement builders to the point where I lost the story and got bored... a couple years later I came back to this now that there are so many mods available and it's a fresh experience. TBH I cheat my way through the settlement aspects of the game just so I don't end up bored. Only major critique of FO4 vs the other games is that the leveling system is by no means balanced. A combination of only a few perks makes your character unnecessarily powerful to where you HAVE to adjust the difficulty just to make it feel fair (which defeats the point of building your character a certain way.) Another comment on that is that there doesn't seem to be an alignment aspect to your character like there was in FO3, only with companions and dialogue "choices." At this time, I would only recommend the VR version of this for the immersion unless you're just a die hard Fallout fan... or get it on sale.

I've spent soooo much time on this game thinking I would only moderately like it. It's so addictive even in its vanilla form that I stopped everything, even League of Legends and Minecraft... when I had an active server to maintain. I started using mods a couple months back and now I'm forever hooked.

Pros:
Value - For the time spent, I would have spent $50 for this game or more
MODS - So many great modders for this game adding game-changing content and amazong QoL add-ons
Customizable Immersion - Make your own story/scenario, set your own difficulty, cheat if you want

Cons:
Rarely Glitchy - Very rare glitches that affect your save files but with the auto-save function can be avoided easily

Got this game as part of a humble bundle deal. Played it thinking it was going to be an extension of Rimworld (great game)

Pleasantly surprised tho. I am a big fan of RTS games but was getting bored with everyone copying each other's mechanics. This is a new, very business oriented, take on the classic games. Considering my main strategy in a Civ game is to opt for the peaceful or tech wins, this game really hits the spot. Without the ability to pause in single player, I can imagine a multi-player game being EXTREMELY competitive and that's cool for them, but I'll stick to playing solo.

TLDR:
Lots of strategy, Business Oriented RTS, Refreshing New Take

I recommend only because I'm a long time DQ fan... but it's just meh. Lots of grinding and first person combat. I miss the turn based DQ in the past. DQ8 was the last good game in this series.

I understand this game is still in development but when my cart in progress flies a mile in the sky, doing flips to infinity, and falls on me to my death I'm just out. Fix the physics and maybe I'll come back... what a waste of money.
