I wanted a simple game with depth. Shogun Showdown is exactly that.
The core mechanic is simple but takes turn-based combat to new heights to me, and the balance struck feels just right.
Unlocking characters and new moves also makes replays fresh without breaking the original fun.
I can't recommend this enough!

Not a fan of poker at all, but I've always loved simple roguelikes/roguelites. Balatro is fun, easy to understand, and scratches that synergy itch where you can play in unique ways and still find ways to make that broken too. Excellent game, good fun, fantastic replayability!

Found a planet that looked lush. Local wildlife includes goofy biped goat-like creatures and terrifying tentacle monsters that are actually friendly.

This game will make you want to explore planets, and each planet will reward you in a variety of ways, both in terms of resources and fun. Go for it!

Still about halfway into my first season, so very much a noob. Already jumping around when my team scores though_

I started a save with as few things out of my range as possible to focus on tactics and transfers. Made it a lot more enjoyable than the previous times I tried to get into the series.

Obviously still have a lot to learn, but the game is fun and feels very polished. It's a punishing game but the progression still feels fun and manageable.

Good entry point to the fighting game genre, but definitely not the easiest. The combos are hard to learn, and when you find someone who knows his stuff, you will get smashed.

That being said, the game looks great, the netcode is absolutely marvellous and the game does a good job teaching you the mechanics. Also, new characters are coming, not just one but a whole season pass worth. Now's the time to jump into the game!

Fantasy Strike is a fantastic introduction to fighting games. Anyone interested in the genre should give it a try, the characters are unique, the gameplay is refreshing, and the netcode is pretty good too!
One thing to remember: the game is easy to play, but your opponents may be really good - hang in there, you'll learn too!

20ish hours in, about 40 runs played, one win so far.

This game is absolutely gorgeous, the ambiance is great, the gameplay is so satisfying. If you're into either roguelites or top down action/hack n slash games, I can't see where you could go wrong with this, honestly.

Simple, relaxing city building game that's actually more of a puzzle game to some extent. Achievements are super easy, if you're into that.
There's also an Endless Mode, for maximum chill
