Great story, way better grind and gameplay than Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

After the whole Sony controversy regarding the locking of countries, they still haven't alleviated that issue and it had still been a problem since then. The game has actively been bleeding players since then and zero recovery. They had not even tried to address a multitude of issues their game has and it took them a very long time to do something about the developer that kept nerfing everything making higher difficulties impossible to do. It does not help when I've been wanting to play this game but literally everyone has stopped inviting me to it and somehow are willing to play other games.

Aside from this, the Discord is a literal power-mod swamp and I can no longer support a game that has been causing issues for literally everyone. Helldivers Community has become a literal Communist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ran by Juche-style Moderators and Community Managers who ban anyone who disagrees with them.

Another gripe is when this game is supposed to be an Indie-game only loosely published by PlayStation. Despite the entire community they built up asking to support Xbox for more players, they failed to even do that and refused to do so. Arrowhead are Sony dogs and this game is held back by political extremists and corporate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at Sony. They should've never done a deal with Sony knowing full well they were going to flex their muscle and the Community Managers were on board with the extended level of moderation that Sony claimed to make easier.

The only good Manager that actually stood by the community got fired and to be quite frank, if that's how they value their community, you shouldn't play this game. I should have never bought Super Citizen if I knew the Arrowhead staff were going to be this incompetent in managing both their game and their moderation.

Its demotivating to keep supporting games who want nothing but money and/or political points over actually keeping their game alive and healthy.

This is an easily avoidable Base-Building RTS because it is unbalanced and boring. I personally recommend playing the Command & Conquer series and Tempest Rising instead. You have to be an absolute masochist to find this game fun and I already know the types on my friends list that do play this and they're very mentally challenged. This game is also made even worse because there are plenty of exploits in this game which is even abused in Private Games because you have no way of verifying the other sides current activity.

Mods don't make a game better if the game itself is terrible.

There is no vehicles, its all infantry focused and has a terrible objective system on 90% of all maps which takes away from just collecting resources and fighting your opponent. It even has systems where you burn money just for the sake of having more units which in the endgame of a match is terrible if your opponent has destroyed those population buildings which denies you the right to build more units. A lot of the roster ends up being demanding of late-game or costly buildings to keep the war going, which is bad because if you're denied access to your tech, your units which should've been effective are otherwise ineffective as a result; This is not a problem in C&C3.

Overall, the Combine are just overpowered in general especially with their Striders, Turrets and Headcrab Canisters.

Despite it being a Half-Life themed RTS, it has made no attempts to incorporate Half-Life 1 factions or try to add cut content to expand the uniqueness and variety. Before you consider it being a Half-Life 2 based game; they still incorporated Alyx content which is set in a different timeline to Half-Life 2.

It doesn't even attempt to remodel existing units to make Rebels or Soldiers stand out in the slightest. Which is another problem with the game is that its generic. I am fine with sticking to true units but I prefer units standing out. Which Valve themselves seem to want to make Combine Soldiers stand out as much as possible depending on their class.

The weapon system they have for generic Rebels and Soldiers is the most awful thing because you cannot tell immediately what the enemy team is using from the Top-Down RTS perspective.

I think this game is ♥♥♥♥ and people should stop trying to get me to play it.

This game was a complete waste of money. Because I purchased the game in January, I was not entitled to a refund and back when they had their "original publisher" the launcher would also count to your playtime. Negatively reflecting my "hours on record" when I was just downloading the game.

This game is a waste of time, a joke and was initially a scam. Now it is dirty micro-transaction hell for any player and not worth your time. This game wanted to be a Battlefield killer but has worse reviews than the disaster that was 2042.

For added salt, I was not given the veteran pack; only a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ calling card and an icon which has less value than any calling card MW2 had to offer. Why did I even bother registering on their website?

Save your time, don't waste it on this game. Developers don't care and neither does the "publishers".

Also very funny of them to have a download system which has the limited internet speed of 10mb/s

Game is far too slow and unrewarding, no incentive to play, ridiculous aim-accuracy with the AI that is completely unrealistic.

The fact people tell you to mod this game to get a better experience is enough not to play the base game.

Feels like a cash grab, especially with the Supporter Edition's presentation. There's just nothing this game has to offer in a grand spectrum that is worth this amount of money.

Review will change when big changes arrive. As it stands now, it is still Early Access and kinda lame.
