big ups; way better than DLC 1

Guilty Gear = Good; OST = Peak; Looks Like Anime.

If you already like +R or Rev2, this game probably isn't grimy enough for you. If you haven't played any other Guilty Gear before, that's probably what makes this the best game to get into the series with. There's still Big Damage and Flashy Combos, but with substantially less Anime Fighting Game Wackiness that leaves you wondering what your opponent even did to you. (If you want to do Anime Fighting Game Wackiness to other people, that's when you go to one of the older games)

Don't use a guide. All hints needed to beat the game are in the game. If you don't know something or can't figure it out, look harder or come back later. The path forward may be simpler than you expect.

It took me about 20 hours to beat the game and another 10 to 100%, and it was some of the best puzzling I've ever experienced in a game. Definitely requires a notebook for working out some puzzles, but nothing was obnoxiously convoluted.

(Not really a spoiler; just an options-menu thing I'd recommend: Turn on Audio Puzzle Assistance; it just adds a visual indicator to audio puzzles. You'll still need to solve the puzzle; it's just much more obvious when something is or isn't actually supposed to be a puzzle. )
