If they were going into a subscription model then it should have been a seperate entity and not claiming to replace YNAB 4. In the way of supporting the developer's I get going into a subscription model to keep it monetarily viable to support. Yet, with so many programs and utilities going into an annual fee these days it seems completely backwards to add yet Another annual fee for a program designed to try to manage and Save money. I fear that the desktop YNAB 4 will become less then viable going forward and cannot trust it will be supported as promised when the mentioned NEW YNAB desktop app becomes available. I will continue to use it, but cannot recommend buying it now.
