I stumbled upon this game thanks to a lucky post I saw on Bluesky a few weeks ago and damn am I lucky I did!

I was already quite looking forward to the full game after I had ~8 or so hours when the demo ended and golly I wasn't disappointed!

If I had to describe the game in one word I'd say "warm"?
Like it's so full of appreciation, acceptance and love between the characters throughout the whole story! (Which was fantastic! Very much enjoyed it from start to finish! Go team!)
Every character is voiced and the entire VA cast was awesome. Everyone brought their character so wonderfully to life! Casmyn's whole story arc made me cry for a bit!
(If you enjoyed Amelia Tyler's performances in other games, like BG3's Narrator, then I can say she played her part excellent again.) [feral snarl]
The world itself is also beautifully vibrant with colours and life which made exploring it really fun, while the music was generally pleasent as well. Not over the top but always fitting the scenery imo!

Sure sometimes the controls were a bit clunky (looking at you climbing), but I never felt like I wanted to quit the game because of it. Though landing in the abyss once, because a big fella decided to crashland there after the fight made me a bit upset due to all the loot that was lost...
Speaking of: you only have a certain amout of inventory space which is upgradeable over the course of the game and, in case you die, you always have a few items you can have "saved". I love me some looting and while it was somewhat irritating early on I eventually figured out what was not important to bring and was able to manage my inventory well enough during the 3rd zone!

Enemy variety ain't the greatest either, which I'm personally glad for, but might be a turnoff for others!

Magic can also be hit or miss! Throw enemies around to either have them out of the fight or for a bit or crowd control is fun, but some spells found more use than others by far. I guess it hugely depends on your playstyle as well though. My favorite one was "strong 2-handed sword attack". That usually did the trick!

All in all I'd easily give this game a 9/10! Great first game and I hope there's more to come in the future from Yellow Brick Games!

I came for the memes and stayed for the story and the music?
Go listen to this game's OST if you haven't. Even if you're not a fan of MMOs every time a new track drops it's likely to be quite good at the very least!

The writing is superb and the gameplay loop is great!
Not too long and if you feel like it there are plenty of bonus objectives for you to solve! :3

One of the best remakes out there! It may be rather hard at times but it's oh so rewarding when you get it just right! :3

Probably the best 3D Platformer currently on the PC!

- Great controls and camera
- Beautiful level design
- Charming characters
- Excellent music
- Worthwhile collectibles + unlockable perks
- !WORKSHOP SUPPORT!
- it may only have local Coop, but it's still great to enjoy the entire game together with a friend
- the first DLC was offered for free within the first 24h and offered a great new chapter as well
as a few harder challenges from the Snatcher which even give you rewards

If you are a fan of 3D Platformers and do not own the game, do yourself a favor and get this game! Maybe even if you're not a fan of 3D Platformers.

Listen to your favorite music while the undead legion of the Necrodancer wants to kill you.
At the same time everything you and your enemies do is bound to rhythm of the song that is currently playing.
You can either listen to your own music or the amazing OST which has various alterations like EDM and Metal.

The game is fair but hard so i would give it a 9/10 - ♥♥♥♥ you black skeleton.
