timeless game that plays great alone or with friends. the minimal system requirements make it accessible for many different people so it can be a great way to connect with a long-distance friend or partner.

at first i was turned off by the controls because i'm more familiar with first-person rpgs. however, after playing through my first run, i was pretty well adapted to the controls, with the exception of a few of the more uncomfortable camera angles. so please dont turn away from the game because of the older control scheme!

i've never been a huge stickler for achievements in games, but this game really changed that. getting achievements for this game was super satisfying, especially after the more difficult runs, such as invisible enemies or the speedrun achievements.

if im being honest, i've never been interested in horror survival games. it just wasnt my thing. im more of an elder scrolls/fallout type of player. but despite that, this game is certainly in my top 5 i've played. the story is there if you want to follow it, the puzzles are there if you want puzzles, the strategy is there if thats your play-style (such as avoiding certain areas as new/stronger enemies may appear), and blowing off zombies heads is also there too!!
this game is really a blast no matter which type of player you are. unless you prefer grind-y games i suppose? but if you're looking at this, it means you're probably considering getting the game and to that i say: do it!!!

the resident evil franchise has sales pretty frequently too so if the full price wards you away, then wishlist it and wait for it to go on sale again. even if the game turns out to be something you dont enjoy, i think its worth it just to say you played the first resident evil game (remake).

ONE FAIR WARNING: play this with a controller, keyboard and mouse is fine and possible, but a controller is just so much more intuitive and easy.

one of my favs, i love the story and i especially love the character design. great world-building and a unique soundtrack you can fall in love with. could just be nostalgia but it finds a way to feel familiar while also being unique. one of those games that you can play without needing a video/show/movie in the background.

im very excited for the sequel and i hope new players fall in love with this series (including the Fables comic book series) as much as i have :>

Short game, simple enough concept, and easily achieved endings, all of which i consider positives. The game is pretty fun and i always love the sketch-like art style to add to the dreary atmosphere. Its free and if you're itching to get a break within your current library, this is a great choice.

Damn you Todd Howard, Skyrim was fine until you came along, Bethesda Studios was nice an' lazy. If they hadn't found you, i could've saved money and be halfway to a billionaire by now. You there- you and me, we shouldn't be here, buying this game for the 20 thousandth time. Its our money Todd wants.
