Early Access Review
It's stiff, clunky, and buggy but the foundation is incredibly strong and still well worth playing. The gameplay loop is simple: you are given an array of tools to search a haunted location for three pieces of evidence, used to determine what kind of entity resides there. You're given a bit of consequence-free time to hunt down the ghost, but after that time expires the ghost may start hunting you. You need to coordinate with your group and use the in-game voice chat (local and radio) to hunt down the ghost as a team. It feels very much like the classic ghost hunting TV shows, except something actually happens.

Phasmophobia is a really great co-op experience, when it works. At times it suffers from it's unfinished nature, with evidence being unobtainable or defenses not working. Thankfully the downsides to failing are small so you can just dive right in to the next round. It's an all around fun time with some friends if you can look past the some of the early access rough edges, and it's a commendable effort from a small development team. I look forward to seeing future updates.
