Just purchased this game recently and have put a ton of hours into it. It is definitely scratching an itch that only tarkov was ever able to handle previously to this. Since i didnt play years ago when this game first came out i don't have that same sort of exhausted feeling that a lot of the negative reveiwers have of a slowly progressing game that seems to be stuck in perma development. All in all i'm happy to be playing a game that devs are still actively working on.

Pros - Fairly easy to find a server that fits your playstyle once you've learned the ropes. There are deathmatch servers, clan servers, building servers, PvE servers, hardcore pvp no build servers... you get the idea..

Downsides, yeah it still does feel like a buggy mess sometimes, but that's mostly due to the most popular servers using so many independent mods they they too seem to conflict with the base game in unpredictable ways.

Also i hate having to reverify my files constantly. its a good waste of 10-15 minutes every time i get a PBO error during login... it can get daunting having to do it like 3-4 times a day, it would be nice if there was a way to verify JUST your addons and not the base game. but i digress.

Is it worth the price tag to a new player? sure, will it all be rainbows and unicorns? definitely not. Full loot games are frustrating by design and buggy code only makes it worse. With that said its still solid competition to a lot of other similar games out there.
