As difficult as the initial learning curve is, this game is incredibly worth the grind. The playtime speaks for itself. This game is deeper than it appears. There's certainly a lot to learn but once you get over the hump you feel like you can use anything and everything to outplay someone else. It's very gratifying.

I've never played a game with more unique and tactical firefights. Nearly every fight feels different than the one before. The compounds are interesting, the weapons feel tactile and satisfying, the environments are immersive, and the pace is refreshing. The game can be as intense or as relaxed as you make it, allowing you to alternate between a hardcore western shootout and a relaxing walk in the bayou.

You can't write a review of this game without mentioning the sound design. The sound design in this game is also world-class; I can't think of a game that has clearer sounds that utilizes them to the extent Hunt does. The trained ear can start a match and hear a gunshot across the square kilometer map and know exactly what gun it was and which compound it was in. Conversely, you can also hear the crunching of crouched feet as someone next to you steps on glass or a wooden plank. Sound is king.

I have so much fun playing this with family and friends. Like I said, every fight feels different. So, we'll often mention something that happened weeks or months ago and everyone will laugh and talk about the entire mission like it just happened. It's super memorable when playing with others, which I believe is the best way to play the game. Running solo is fine, but often more frustrating. Try hard if you like, but play it with others and you'll have a blast.
