its almost been a year since this game had been released and ive gone through many phases with it.
after my first completion of the game i was in awe, an absolutely cherishable time. around the second and third, the cracks started showing. i started questioning the balancing of the game and of the enemies and bosses, i 100% the game shortly after and left myself on a very unsure note about how i felt about this game. forwarding to february of 2023, ive started yet another playthrough on a newly acquired steam deck in a desperate lust to play a souls game again, any worry i had last year had faded. the game has recived plentiful fixes that make everything click once again. even if its entirely possible nothing was wrong to begin with and i was previously experiencing exhaustion from playing so much. regardless, this game is a beauty, a true standout amongst the souls games and throughout games in general. if there was any game to ever place your bets on, it would be this one right here. I love elden ring so dearly just as i love the other souls games and i heavily reccomend you play this absolute gem.
