I'm playing on steam deck and it's great.
The game is steam deck verified quality but mistakingly marked at "playable" because by default the game mimics vintage low res games. Just trying to spread the word to help it get fixed to "verified" so it can get as much visibility as possible.

I was ready to call this game of the year, before I realised it had hours more waiting for me.
I never played card games. Never played Magic, never played Yu Gi Oh, nothing. Yet this game kept me invested and engaged enough to properly learn everything.
The only serious con is I think I encountered a glitch where one of my cards which calculates damage based on stuff was supposed to get buffed damage, but in practice it somehow made it do less damage.

Now I wish this could be turned into a real, genuine card game it has me so invested. I don't know how they'd address the current asymetrical style of it, either change it to be symmetrical or keep it as is with a "Cardmaster vs. traveler" DnD style of game. Sadly I know I'll have to just settle for learning to play Magic.

This is my 1 negative review. I like this game, but there's one thing missing. Something so vital it's honestly the biggest oversight I can think of in any modern game: a portal indicator.
Play Portal 1 or 2 and you see your cross-hair indicates which portal you have/haven't placed as well as which color is which side. There is nothing like that in this game's hud and it's such a subtle thing yet you realize how much you took it for granted when it's not there, especially when you aren't just solving a puzzle at your own pace, but fighting in a fast paced action packed arena.

There's also other issues, like the cliche battle pass that just turns challenges into chores, and apparently controller aim assist is so strong it'll aim through walls for people. I can overlook these issues.

So, I DO recommend this game, but until there is some portal hud indicator, I'm leaving this negative in the hopes the devs will see it since they don't seem to have any other legitimate feedback system.

My top game of 2021.
I don't normally buy games at full price, but trust me when I say this game is worth full price.

It is very fun, but the gunplay definately feels like it needs work. I understand that it needs to be tense so the game doesn't lose it's survival horror, but It feels frustrating that the game itself is already tense enough without feeling like I'm fighting controls to load a gun, ♥♥♥♥ it properly, then make sure the game registers my 2nd hand holding up the front end. Heavier objects, like two handed guns, will wobble if you're holding them with one hand, which is understandable and to prevent you from firing one handed, but it's so wonky that in a stressful situation It hinders my ability to efficiently grab it with the other hand and aim up. The bolt action and lever action rifles are so finiky that even 1 on 1 it just isn't worth the effort to use.

Very Fun and also very stressful when you have to be stealthy.

"I hate when games have weak shotguns"
"I hate when games have unrealistic bullet physics"
"I hate when games make everyone a bulletsponge"
"I hate when games have everyone using snipers"
These are the comments of someone that hasn't played the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series. If this game were anymore realistic, your guns would constantly jam, and you'd be kicked from the server immediately when you die so someone else can take your place.

If Valve themselves make a counterstrike vr then I don't think it would be much different than this game and that speaks to the quality that the gunplay has. It isn't as serious and hardcore as some of the other vr shooters appear to be but Pavlov makes up by having more community made gametypes and ported maps like playing prop hunt or Halo maps. If you have a vr headset then this should be one of the first games you get.
