I made my initial review at only 0.4 hours in this game, so probably like 30 minutes? 60? I don't remember but regardless my opinions of the game have changed drastically over the month long binge I've been playing during lock down, it's a game that's held near and dear to my heart because it was played when I was going through a pretty bad time in my life, I was depressed, I hated life, and my brain was flooded by suicidal ideologies.

Seeing the dumb little faces of those stupid little Lalafells helped a lot, and not only that but this game is definitely better than wow as a long time wow player, that's a LOT for me to say, I've played wow for close to almost 15 years, starting in Wrath of the Lich King which I personally think was Blizzards prime for WoW, besides Legion.

Genuinely I've never really paid attention to a story until I started playing again this year, I got attached to Crystal Exarch and unraveling his fate as I progressed more and more through the Main Scenario Quests, which honestly every game should have due to how fresh and exciting it made the game feel, it made me look forward to starting a new quest, and it's nice that there's incentives such as glamour coffers, titles, housing items and occasionally a mount thrown in there. With WoW, there was the mount, occasional title here and there but that's pretty much it.

In regards to the player base and social aspect of this game, I've found during my travels from Eorzea or Norvrandt, to Othard, that people are far nicer than what I've encountered in WoW, even going as far as giving advice (Alot of it unsoliticed or unasked for). HOWEVER, I appreciate those people going extra miles to take a minute out of their day to mentor people who may be lost or left wondering. There's a huge RP presense no matter where you go, even at 6AM I see Limsa COVERED with people.
