Another great game sadly ruined by a tone-deaf publisher listening to the "good idea fairy".

Three months after releasing the game, Sony has now forced the integration of a Playstation Network account, requiring you register one in order to access any part of the game. This is a practice that has been observed (and condemned) in a large number of other games, but this is notable special case because this was not only done after the game's release, but also after Sony happily took the money of those who live in countries where PSN is not supported. What does this mean? This means that if you live in a country where Sony does not support Playsation Network, they premeditated allowing you to purchase the game, and then mere months after the release, permanently revoking your access to the game you paid for, and effectively scammed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of players.

The game is great, Arrowhead seem to be decent people, and it's sad that they and their labor of love are being used as a meatshield, but it is long overdue that we put our foot down and let Sony, as well as any publishers who would follow their example know that we are no longer going tolerate this.

UPDATE 05/06/24: Sony has reversed their decision. We have won.

The thing to note is that this is more of an adventure/puzzle game than it is a shooter. Think Resident Evil or really any other 90's adventure game. There are no waypoints or objective markers, just notes and audio logs giving a rough description of what you need to do or hints on how to solve puzzles.

This is an old-school survival horror game first and foremost, you will need to explore your surroundings and listen/read to what the various logs have to say in order to figure things out, as well as conserve your ammunition and pay attention to the weak points and weaknesses of various enemies, if this sounds like your thing, then you will likely enjoy your time here.
