This, and more, can be your n this amazing game. I've been playing this game since it launched on steam, and it's been a lot of fun. Keep in mind that the game is very open to customization. ANY species you create can do almost anything in the game until you start specializing them. Once you decide what race to create, then you can start defining them and their history. For example: Are your species more apt to researching? Are they a species that can survive on different planets easier? Do they live longer? How you build your character allows you to build a story for them and how they evolved. With the ability to create your own space races, and with the steam workshop at your disposal, no two games will ever be the exact same, giving the game countless replayability. The DLC for this game greatly enhances it, but is NOT required to play the game and have fun. Every time there is a new DLC that comes out, more free content is also released at the same time, so you don't have to purchase it, but I would highly recommend it.
