Fun game to play, definitely worth the money, Depending on how much you''ll like it , you may spend over 1k hours like me.
Otherwise, you'll probably still get 100+ hours of gameplay out of it before it, which makes it worth the money in my opinion. Of course that takes into account that you're into this kind of games.

Medieval ages wars & politics + super fun battles

game is still in Early Access and it feels like there are a few things missing but I've been having a lot of fun and I am sure I'll keep having fun for some time, if you like the likes of medieval battles (like chivalry medieval warfare but you're also commanding soldiers) and politics (like total war series but much more simplified and easier to manage) then you'll love this game.

Easily worth the money. Multiplayer could use some work though, but this game has barely entered Early Access by the time I'm writing this so many things can be improved

Although the game seems to be made to get the player frustrated, as long as you have the right mindset you won't even feel that. I felt relaxed playing through it, even when failing. It is true though, after long periods of time (1h+ for me) it does get a bit annoying - but then you make a break and you can get right back into it. Basically it's all about learning how to conquer every single bit of the game - you did it once, you can certainly do it twice! Take your time with every bit of obstacles and you won't have a single issue with it. The commentary is pretty fun too, has it's own charm :D
Fun experience :D

I have played this game only for the free weekend; but I'm definetely going to buy the game.
It's an insta buy for people that love FPS games.

The immersion in this game is the best. As many others have already pointed out, most of that is because of the sound. Masterpiece. When people use the local area voice chat you literally hear them as if they are 5 meters away from you, 10, or 15 meters away of you. If they are right next to you and speaking into your ear it will feel like they are right next to you in real life.

The multiple comms possibilities, the gunshots, explosions, everything makes it feel so real. The combat itself; the tactics you need to apply to win a game are amazing. Honestly, in this free weekend I achieved 2 things: I learnt how to actually shoot and the models of every faction (by the end of it I could actually get kills and ... stop being a medic all the time because I was bad at shooting lol, did not even see where the enemy was, hard to spot and hard to shoot at long distances in the beggining)
The second thing I achieved was my best experience in an online FPS. Got a good squad leader that knew how the game worked and competent squad members and we made our way through the enemy bases. It was AWESOME how everyone, including myself, were listening to the squad leader, staying together, dealing with enemy squads together, breaking into buildings and getting shot randomly when entering a room then squad members taking the guy out .. everything felt so real. We would get a target, we'd run on the other side of the road while being shot at, enter a building, clean it out, establish FOB or rally point and move on to the next target. Times where we were all spread out in a base, trying to capture the point, hiding in different buildings with another squad around and killing the enemies that were trying to enter the area to stop us from capturing; crawling inside small holes in the stone structure so we didn't get spotted, all of that felt like that's how real life combat would be if I joined the army. It's very much alike to how army fights rebels in iraq or other places in our world right now, I think. all of that happened in 1 single match which took around 1 hour and a half.

Best FPS experience that I had until now. This game is instabuy in my opinion, highly recommend it. Rarely you actually see communities where people truly teamworking in online gaming nowadays :)

This War of Mine is one of those epic games which you will NEVER forget.

A simple, indie game, with such a big emotional impact as you probably haven't felt from a game.

In This War of Mine, or shortly, TWOM, you are not playing a soldier or anything of the kind - like so many other games out there - no ! You are playing groups of civilians, struggling to survive the cruel war.

Will you kill the poor old man and his son for their meds, so you can save your friend ? Or will you let your friend bleed out to death ?

Will you steal from the couple, leaving them starving to death, or will you starve to death yourself?

Are you going to spare somebody to help other people, to get your people's moral up, or are you gonna turn down everybody that shows up?

Question is, will you kill to save yourself or your friends?

TWOM will make you connect to the characters - you will feel the consequences yourself, go on, kill the guy and then bear to his girlfriend's cries! Wether you will feel it or not - your characters will definetly feel it.

In the end, every run you'll do will end up with impact on your emotions.

A little tip: It's easy to be a bad guy/gal and go on killing and stealing things, using whatever tricks you find to boost your people's moral so they don't get too depressed, but it's hard to survive without hurting anybody, without doing anything that you could now... call "wrong". Thing is, you are the one influencing your character's story. It's karma. You get what you give :)

Now, talking about right and wrong - imagine yourself trying to survive such a war, in real life. Then, say you have a brother or sister and you're trying to survive with them. Think about your decisions - how will you do it ?

Just.. buy it. You can pirate it, but seriously man. I used to pirate all single player games. But you just can't. This game is TOO good to NOT support the devs, if you have the possibility. They deserve it. And trust me, you'll have a good run with this game :)

FOR THE DEVS

I can definetly see this game being a multiplayer game with each player controling his group of survivors, through the war. Fair or not, some would have weak groups, other will have strong ones - it would be so great that one could compare it to AAA titles - that's just how great this game is.

Now, I know Multiplayer would be really hard to implement. Lots of code to do and change, lots of ideas needed to be able to handle the day/night cycle, but it would be just great. It could even be a different version which you need to pay again - another game, another TWOM - a standalone multiplayer version. Hell, I'd pay again just to play it! be it 20 euro, it would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ worth!
