I found the game very enjoyable, yet feel that it could have been beyond awesome.
Music is nice and fits the game, though it's not very diverse and might get boring after you listen to it for quite some time.
Visual part is beautiful. The art has a certain feel to it and its consistent.

The gameplay appeal, in my opinion, consists of two parts: the story and the mechanics.
Playing for the story is exploring all the different endings, branches of events and gaining ingame historical (or general-knowldege) remarks and notes. It's really fun and one can try to imagine the world as a whole. It's also inspiring.
Playing for the mechanics means for me trying to win (get coronated) with different "setups", building different characters. Winning as a magic-wielding, strong-willed princess or as a courteous and intriguing one is different and interesting for me.

But, the gameplay is about knowing what stats you need to survive (or get some other outcome you desire) some event and getting them. While there are multiple ways to get past something, they are usually still quite limited to get an RPG feeling to it. Sure, I do prefer some ways of dealing with stuff to other and can choose between them, but it's not like I can build a character that solves problems mostly through magic or abuses her political connections or whatnot.
While there are a lot of different skills to train, there is usually little sense in getting some of this and some of that. A princess that knows nothing about politics and history but is a trained warrior can do better than a princess that knows something about the other countries, has mild divination abilities and is an all-rounder. And even then, one could assume that beeing a great fighter pretty much allows you to fight off assassins, kill rebellious nobles in duels, have a great influence on your soldiers or make your way through to the coronation by trying to kill everything that poses a visible threat. No, you might actually fail some seemingly unrelated check about flowers because of some crazy circumstances you find the princess in and lose a fight. And you won't be offered a chance to kill that suspicious noble before he brings trouble.

So, while the game is immersing for me, I'd really like it to have more open-world type mechanics. It also kind of breaks some part of the RPG feeling when you can't use the abilities of your character to the extent of what you think you should. And not beeing able to predict some events before they happen doesn't help.

All in all, the game looks nice, feels nice, is inspiring for me and presents interesting challenges, but they are not the challenges I expected (worst-case scenario - you can't solve them until you stumble into them and you need to replay for that sometimes) and the gameplay doesn't allow the kind of variations that I like in RPGs. I expected it to be more like Princess Maker series, but it's a bit different. Still, I recommend it, since it is quite different from many games and I found it really enjoyable.
