Early Access Review
Sky: Children of the Light; A beautiful, relaxing game with terrible IAP's and Dev's who don't listen to the Community

Note before you read: Those are my personal opinions and views of the Game. And i wish there is a "Maybe" Review Button inbetween of yes and no.

Sky: Children of the Light is a beautiful, relaxing Game in which i felt in love with as my friend showed me dozens of screenshots of the game, which caught my curiosity.
As an Player who has around 560 Hours on the Nintendo Switch, before switching to Pc (thank god) and have been playing since 2021, i've come to notice the increased rising of InApp-Purchases and the Ignorance of the Developers, and i would like to talk about it.

Before that, i want to talk about the positive aspects of the game.

Graphics and Atmosphere

The Game has one of the most beautiful soundtracks i've ever witnessed. Each track was handcrafted with soft care and love, bringing lots of emotions with it. The soundtrack itself tell a story, without even needing to play the game. It's very soft and beautiful.
Amongst the soundtrack, we also have the soft and cartoonish-childlike, yet very beautiful graphics. It's not extremely high detailed like every Triple A Game. No, the game has very simple, yet beautiful looking graphics, giving the game the cozy atmosphere which is known of with the gentle soundtrack, as well as with the sounds of the game.

Story and Connections

Sky is one of the very few Games in which i like to spend my time one when i don't feel in the right place of mind. The Stories around each spirit and the Main Game itself, create a emotional bridge to the players, feeling sympathy towards their own character, and to the spirits around them.
Spirits tell stories in form of memories, in which the player recieves and connect with it. Both gameplay wise, and emotional. The stories are meant to show and teach the players, especially young ones, the stages of every emotion that the human mind is capable to express in a soft, tenderly way.
When you meet another player, they show as grey. As how you meet your friends. Dark strangers, before you light them and let them in, into your light of warmth and trust. A very touching feature to the game.

Now, let's head over to the negative part of my review.

Greedy, Ignorant Higher Ups and Overworking Devs

As like every other Liveservice Online-Game, there are InApp Purchases. As much as i don't have anything against them, i noticed the increased change of prices, especially Regional ones. When you live in a poor country, you have to nearly spend around 75% more on a single cosmetic, than those who live over at america or europe.
Many, MANY players, including me, were raising our concerns about it, but.. as you can see, the Devs do not react or cannot speak up, due to the highers ups. IAP's shouldn't cost over 20 Bucks in my opinion. You drive more people away with the increasing prices, rather than getting new ones and let the old ones stick as well.

The Devs are feeding us with new seasons with like no tomorrow. One Season ends, the second one starts after 2 weeks, as well with Events. The Devs have no chance to check for game breaking bugs, because the Higher Ups tell the Devs to overwork 'til they fall over. It's not only unhealthy for the Devs, but for the players as well.

Please give us a longer break from Seasons and Events. Sky became more of an grindgame, rather than a cozy game. It breaks the connection between the community and the developers a ton.

That's my Review of Sky: Children of the Light.

As much as i love this Game, it has so many issues and i'm afraid of the future for this game.
