The developers of this game care more about the content and play than any other game I've found in a decade. Both engaging and relaxing.

For over 500 hours of my time now, Hinterland has provide so much enjoyment to me. The Long Dark has come a long way from starting as a crowdfunded "eaten by wolves" simulator to *the* definitive survival experience game. The immersion is unmatched, the devs dedicated, and gameplay is engaging year round.

Picked up ∆V early on and have come back to it time and time again. The developer is engaged with the community in both Steam forums and Discord. Updates are constant, and the play continues to deepen. If you like space, and inertia, and death, you'll love ∆V

Plays more than a bit like FTL, but I really enjoyed the story quite a bit more. Kept me engaged through all the chapters. Still many unlocks and a couple alternative endings available for replay value.

100+ hours spent on a very inexpensive title. Frequent updates from the developer has kept it fresh and it plays great on the SteamDeck. Easy to pick up and play for 5 minutes or 40.

This is the perfect way to learn the features and controls of anyone new to the Steam Deck. Not only did Valve make this free, but the production value is top shelf. Frenemies old and new are in this short game.

Fun Fact, this 1 hour tech demo is larger than the entire original Portal game.

Stacking is the 2nd of two Double Fine games I found in my library that I hadn't really paid much attention to until recently when I went through looking for games I'd neglected so far this year.

You play a nesting doll and you can gain the powers and abilities of other dolls in the game by nesting inside of them. I've played other games where you assume the roles/personalities/powers of other in-game NPCs, but it's really the unique story driven means that this game presents that makes it so compelling.

I've loved what I've played of so far and it's definitely in my top 5 for the year.

I recently went back through the games I picked up this year, but didn't really spend any time with so far. In doing this, I found two awesome gems. Both were by Double Fine. This isn't all that surprising, given their previous games. The first of these two is Costume Quest. I've thorougly enjoyed what I've played of it, and found the story to be compelling and fun. A 'hybrid' of tactical and story gaming, I've never seen it done like this. Set on any generic Halloween, it harkens back to the days of my youth, running from house to house begging for candy and living in an imaginary world of ghouls and ghosts.

Great weekend game. I can easily spend hours in it before realizing that I've completely ignored the yard work or laundry. Love it!

If you like NetHack or other "Rogue" style games of old, you will probably enjoy this one. Wife and I have been playing the hell out of Dungeons of Dredmore ever since getting it a Humble Indie Bundle awhile back.

Love, love, LOVE it.
