I like it.

While still needing some work, the world and characters in it have no comparison. It's a game i'd suggest everyone experience at some point but maybe wait till patch 1.4. Still very enjoyable in its current state.

If i was to try compare it to other games and what it feels like to play. Then it feels like Fallout 4's exploration, crafting, looting and NPC interaction. Deus Ex's level design and combat. GTA's open world and a mix of Deus Ex and Skyrim style level progession.

If you love cities and skylines then you'll love Cities: Skylines.

It's the type of game that would sell you a white t-shirt for 5 dollars.

Just simply won't work without a bunch of screwing around. Crapstar updated the game to combine all the dlcs together and its just broken, can't play it. Fix your games before you do stupid updates that break it further.

Update: Game actually launches and works now how quaint. But crashes if you alt+tab to say update a review. The optimisation is incredibly poor and it runs worse than gta 5. Some cut scenes play at half fps while others don't and end up looking really choppy.

Update 2: Game runs a lot better now and the cut scene problem seems to be mostly fixed. Good to see they are continuing to work on the game but it stands as a negative review because of the initial release.

After lots of memories of frustration with difficult missions and controls for the ps2 it's great to see it running so well and looking pretty with a few mods after all these years. Never knew how much i would appreciate seeing a game locked to 25 fps on ps2 unlocked to 60+, that improvement alone makes it worth it.

Got more hours but it didn't track my modded install. Getting it to a playable state with mods is not easy unless maybe with a modpack.

It does need some work and maybe a few dlc to expand the world but it's a solid start for them to expand on.

If you're picking up this game to strictly play coop with friends then this is not the game as you will have to play for hour's by yourself.

It's a sort of pseudo-coop game where you can do freeroam together and small repetitive bounties but the main missions of the game must be started single player. Then once you reach the boss you can signal flair your friend to come help. Awesome so my friend can help me, sadly that doesn't complete it for them so we have to do each mission twice this way.

There's a town and hub area for players where you'd think you could at least see your friend in with you but no they're just a little icon on your screen. You can only go to one tiny place in the hub to see each other. So at this point you either grind repetitive bosses that you killed in the first mission or play the game solo till you've finished it then maybe come back and coop for some end game bosses.

The game feels and plays like something that looks overly complex but in fact is rather simple and cheap feeling. The boss fight's and combat in this game is a very strong part of what makes this game so great and can be quite fun to engage in. But there's so much mundane running around picking up unfathomable amounts of herbs and killing easy two shot mobs. Well at least there's potion making and gear upgrading but why make potion's when you can buy them and not waste your time with a bad inventory system.

Gear at first look has a lot of choices in weapons and the like but you'll quickly find the best gear and just upgrade that. Maybe later on you might need to change gear and have multiple sets but can you really be asked to change sets for each mission with no way to make a preset build. When you first start you have 3 choices of each type of weapon to choose from but the third choice is the best so why even have the other two to begin with.

Overall it just feels clunky and cheap with some redeeming qualities in combat and choices to make there but it all feels like padding to make it seem like there is more than you think.

Great game even in it's EA state most features work as intended with the occasional crashes but constant updates keep this game worth revisiting.

Skyrim the Bestest Edition.. well after a few mods.
