Edit: Double Fine, if you ever consider doing Brutal Legend 2, make a Campaign for the Tainted Coil faction, or for that Motorfreaks faction you never finished!

Brutal Legend is an Open World Action-Adventure-Hack 'n' Slash-Real Time Strategy Mix, and a pretty damn good one too.

You take the role of Eddie Riggs, a Roadie for many super awesome Heavy Metal bands, who ends up being the Roadie for a terrible modern pop tween fake metal band. Because of their carelessness, Eddie ends up dieing on stage. As he dies, his blood awakens the almighty Metal Beast which takes him back in time into the Age Of Metal to fulfill his prophecy of saving humanity from slavery and demons, while teaching them how to harness the power of Metal.

All aspects of the game are fairly well done and enjoyable (though this is not the most popular opinion). As you do missions, you unlock more combat moves, guitar solos (summon your car, buff friendlies, etc...), side missions (a good variety of them), vehicle customization (did someone say mounted machine guns?), etc...

There's a lot of collectables, hidden secrets, legends, and lore to be discovered. Lots of Metal references and Humor, you'll laugh a lot.

The game comes with full controller support as well, and is the recommended device for play.

And the best thing about the game, the soundtrack, which you should check out for yourself ;) Have fun!

All in all, the best, if not perfect tribute to Rock 'n' Roll and Heavy Metal!

AI Practice and Multiplayer is a crap ton of fun. The ability to play as the Tainted Coil is one of the game's best features!

How do you play this game for that long?
