Fun, but now my progress is gone and I'm back at the *mandatory* tutorial. That sucks, but I had a fun time playing.

Great game! Would recommend.
I saw the game one or two days after it released but wasn't sure it was worth the buy, due to the low player base at that time. But I bought it yesterday and I really enjoyed playing it.
I you're winning, than great! If you're losing... thats also great! Since you're getting cool new powers.
It's fun to see how the powers interact with each other. You have homing bullets, just lost a round, and see you can get the shotgun upgrade to shoot 5 bullets at once? I wonder what that would look like...

Notes on what I'd love to see improved in the future:

-The chat system is pretty crap. If you click space in chat, the game will consider it an input for the game (space is how you select which abilities you want). I'd like to be able to say something whilst the other player is picking their ability.

-How you choose whether or not you want a rematch is pretty confusing. I click no, but the game still places me in the match?

-The wait times a pretty long depending on where you are. So for me that uses two monitors, I'd be great to click on something else and have the game stop playing the song until I click on it again, whenever I find a match.

-Nintendo Switch version!!!!! I'm certainly not the first to ask, nor will I be the last. This has "Switch Game" written all over it and I know we'll get a Switch port eventually, but I just *have* to put it on the list.

It's awesome. The world is beautiful and full of (many time deadly) life, the gameplay is great with great sound design and fighting mechanics, but the ideal way to play this IMO is in the hardest difficulty. I tried the normal difficulty for a brief time and you just hack and slash with no real effort put into your actions and no focus put on your HP, Chi and environment. Some people might like that kind of gameplay but I much preferred the challenge the No Pain No Gain mode brought to the table.

With the No Pain No Gain option selected, every fight will require focus on your HP and Chi as well as your attack pattern relative to the enemies' attack patterns. You'll be moving around and trying to escape the numerous enemies behind you and picking them off when you can. It sounds repetitive and annoying but with the wonderful worlds you'll be doing this in, you'll have to make quick decisions and narrow escapes, keeping you engaged and focused. You can defeat enemies in smaller groups too, if you want to play it safe. The boss fights are intense and challenging, after defeating the first boss I just stopped playing to take a break, at least with the first bosses it was pretty intense but as I got better at the game and better gear, it became easier.

The weapon system is very customizable, giving you many upgrades you can apply to your weapon or even yourself, giving you the ability to switch around upgrades whenever you want as they aren't bound to the weapon. You can also upgrade your skill cards, which you get at the beginning of the game as well as from drops and mission rewards. Skill cards can give you different abilities ranging from healing faster to spikes that come out of the ground to impale your enemies like its the 15th century. Weapons can also be received from missions and drops.

Great atmosphere, world building and gameplay. But I couldn't get over the minecraft villager noises that played sometimes when in silence.

Pretty cool. Fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ground collision or what ever its called, I got stuck so many times it's ridiculous. And why the hell do you have to jump to get over small sets of stairs? Like literally jump to get up one step, only to bang your head on the door frame. This was in the main building in the sanctuary so why the hell did no one notice? Is it just me? Some of the missions are just impossible even at the level your supposed to be, like the enemies had ridiculous amounts of health and did ridiculous amounts of damage. Or maybe my gun sucked but I tried many approaches, even grinding down the enemy's heath stealthily but the health bar barely dropped at all with each shot of the pretty decent sniper rifle I was using at the time.

Yeah aside from that, it's a good game and I recommend it.

Tbh, this was kid me's dream so yeah I think its a pretty cool game.

But I, Giorno Giovanna, have a dream. I want this game to have more players so I could play it properly.
