Interesting concept, sadly the UI is Hell, and to make things worse, the game requires a fairly high level of rapid micromanagement, such as moving officers, marines and planes from one room/area to another, not via a roster but directly in the ship or via weird menus. Which, with the bad UI, is a deadly combo...

Still I managed to complete a few missions. Alas, I had to take a break due to IRL constraints, and getting back into such an non intuitive game is just too much for me :s

Horrible game with totally bugged graphics (displays on part of my monitor, partially under the taskbar, impossible to move around or resize or simply put in full screen) with a useless tutorial that doesn't explain much and sets you up for failure even when playing in the easiest possible mode.

I liked one or 2 of the old versions of this game, and to my great surprise I randomly found that this latest version is actually free. It is a bit pay2win and grindy, and the missions quickly get repetitive, but it's fun for a few hours.

The coop mode is a nice touch, but it feels as if the game isn't that well balanced for solo play anymore: missions are now always actually multi-missions (called shift), and new objectives will trigger based on how fast you complete past objectives, so as to make sure that you're always a bit overwhelmed. No matter how good you perform, it will always be stressful. Not a very fair way to balance the game.

Last but not least, a shame too that online play is mandatory. And the UI, although improved compared to what I remember from the old versions, still has a lot of room for improvement.

Still, giving it an upvote, as it's free and there's always the easy missions to play in order to be (somewhat) relaxed.

The processing of personal data "consent" form is fake consent. It's a single player game, mandatory data collection can't possibly have a valid legitimate purpose. Read the bloody GDPR.

That crap installs the EasyAntiCheat spyware even if you choose to run it without EAC.

Imagine creating a game so sick that people give it up because they get stuck because they can't figure out how to... groom a bloody money :x

1) PAYWALL
2) The AI opponent cheats and doesn't even try to hide it
3) Matchmaking is rigged. As you improve your deck, you get matched against stronger and stronger decks without even getting higher in the leagues
4) The AI cheats
5) The AI cheats

Single player game refuses to start offline (and doesn't even bother to provide an error message about it)... Enough said

This game is designed to suck people's time, using persuasive technology such as:
- daily login rewards,
- daily quests,
- battle passes with daily XP boost,
- loot boxes
- the need to grind massively to unlock important cards
- the need to grind massively to rank up and get rewards (particularly since the matchmaking is rigged to prevent you from ranking up fast: if you do, you end up with uncarriable teammates or decks that counter yours)
- peer-pressured grinding via a guild system

(relevant article and video links about persuasive tech censored by Steam's artificial "intelligence" [lol] "smart" [relol] speech police bot)
