It's like the writers read a bad Dragon Age fan fiction and then made a game about it.
But, if there were 10 writers, only 2 were capable of writing, and only 1 understood cause/effect.

It took me four months to play roughly 20 hours.
The longest, most boring and disappointing 20 hours I've ever had in a triple A game.

I wanted to like it so bad, I've tried really hard to find something good. But Starfield is a soulless and scopeless game, with each and every part that works separately from each other without even trying to do something interesting or new, without interacting with each other into a cohesive game, without an interesting story nor compelling characters.

It's dated: you spend time watching unskippable cutscenes for fast travels, operating horrible and endless menus, downloading mods to fix this thing or that thing, shoot at enemy sponges, running through empty planets and for every interesting mission, there are dozens of fetch quests, some also critical to power you up.

Starfield is ultimately a huge failure, sets an abysmally low standard for videogames in general and an all time low for Bethesda.

It's an absolutely normal RPG like many others, but was overhyped because people are not used to play this kind of games and didn't know what D&D is.

There's good writing (mostly), attention to detail and tactic combat that really rewards thinking over charging head on into enemies.
There are also tons of gamebreaking bugs, a couple of unfair battles and situations and rushed bits of quests and story.

Overall, it's good.

What an absolute pathetic excuse for a game.

Blood Omen 2 is the infamous sh*t stain on an otherwise white fabric. That fabric being the Legacy of Kain saga.
It has boring and slow combat, lazy story-telling, stupid characters and the only relevance it has to the overarching plot is completely forgettable. As for many other games, the only way I can see people enjoying it, is for nostalgia alone.
It seems to be made without any focus in mind, a ludicrous checkpoint system even for its time and a linearity that is quite frankly disarming.
People that argue the game doesn't load\crashes\is buggy just don't know how to search on Google. I can assure that's the least of the problems of this game.

After going through almost all of its main content and expansions, I feel like I can confidently say that this is a great game, perhaps even a masterpiece.
But, simply put, it just takes too much of an investment in both time and money to fully appreciate. Getting to the good stuff takes a long time, and I mean hundreds of hours. Especially if you stop and do all the sidequests.
There are some amazing moments and characters, a great sense of "feeling at home" with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, but there is also a TON of busy work, useless filler quests and go talk to that guy, go back there, go here, do that and so on, an so forth, so much so that the pacing is also all over the place.

The community is one of the best I've ever seen and it's totally doable to experience the game almost entirely in a single-player way if you really wish to, although you have to expect at least some degree of interaction for dungeons and instances. I'm no MMO expert, but I also found the gameplay and overall balance to be spot on and combat was satisfying.

It was quite the journey, but I wouldn't do it again, nor would I recommend it. Maybe it's just not for me.

It's pretty bad.
First half of the story is a shallow remake of FFX, the second half is just a bunch of coincidences and nonsensical plot twists that try to get you to the ending.
Combat is ok, and the lore is interesting, I guess.
Wouldn't recommend unless it has nostalgic value for you.

Your typical Quantic Dream game:
- Plot holes
- Rules of the setting change every hour
- False sense of freedom and choice
- Characters are a joke
If a couple of heartbreaking notes on a piano and some set pieces are enough to make you think that "teh story iz gret" than you might probably like it, otherwise there's nothing to see here.
Still, it's better than Heavy Rain and Beyond. Which is not saying much, sadly.
