This game is about the story, and (if you want) trying to do the good thing. But it's difficult to know. How lavish does a royal wedding need to be? What happens if you can't gather a large enough military to be safe? What lord and pesant should you trust? And most importantly: could I keep that rooster a bit longer?

Don't search the forums for answers or more about the plot because going blind into this was great, and it would be ruined if I hadn't.

At this state. Its bad preformance wise, and both traffic and people are acting strange. Public transport is extremely unfriendly to hook up and it gives you a maximum amounts of buses per line, even though you got 500 people waiting at the stop. I tried to solve this with a similar route by tram but the people wont use it? Makes no sense.

Update: nothing has change in 2 years and now with the addition of the game crashing when trying to save. UNPLAYABLE

The "green" mechanics of the game are just terribly made. Just making new services where everything consume less power, water, being more expensive to run, and have lower capacity is just plain stupid. The potential lost with this DLC is the worst. What if your co2-emissions had ACTUAL impact. As in your region being representative of the earth; so if you pollute a lot: climate change will smack you, and if doing so/so its gonna be some bad things happening, and doing good will result in not having catastrophes. Instead, there is NO impact what so ever. Having a "eco"-district makes no actual difference except for getting quirky names for new shops and houses with moss on top. Why? Why did you not develop any good new mechanics for this?

I tried out this game after i saw a youtuber play it. So I sort of knew what to expect. But geez, this is way to difficult to understand how to manage the schedules for the trains. It's not intuitive and it does little to help you out. Even track laying was worse than expected. I tried to build a high speed rail with infinate money and the game constantly complains on track length. I made it into a long tunnel so I wouldnt have to deal with the game complaining about intersections with too much of an angle (the game hates that).

If you are hardcore into investing in a game that does little to assist you in managing or building, it's fine. Variations on trains were bad and I hoped you could re-configure the stats on trains in sandbox mode but no.

And the controls while building tracks messed everything up.

This is simply a great city game. The things to improve are collitions, some better tools for roads, quays, trees etc. (mods can fix it though), and finally: We really need multiplayer on this game. Some sort of campaign mode is on the way. Everyone doesn't enjoy all sandbox. SimCity2013 had "Great works". It made that game feel like there is a goal to work for since you had specialisation in your town to refine raw materials into products and it could be refined again for more advanded products. Then you had to send products to build the great works that benefit the cities in the region.

What SimCity 2013 had that was good was the multiplayer at the state when servers worked. But it should have been in real time and enabling the others to play on your map. In Cities Skylines it could mean taking current map-size and split it up between players to compete, or enable them to work on the same areas.

A Cities Skylines with that kind of multiplayer will be a game to keep playing for a long time.

++ Gameplay in general
+++ A huge map to play on (if you by mod enable 25 or all 81 tiles)
+ Different themes on buildings
+ Water
+ Build your own desert/blossom/winter map with own theme
+ Build your own park to raise land value
+ Build your own costum interchanges or grids for the city so you save time.
+++ Steam Workshop has GREAT modders for this game and glitches from member made mods usually are fixed pretty fast. The workshop can set you up with nice parks and complicated interchanges for you to save a lot of space and time

--- Only sandbox
--- No multiplayer
--- Not as nice colour scheme as SimCity2013
--- Ugly architecture no matter density and height compared to SimCity2013 (that mastered american+modern arcitecture)
-- Slow development
- Everyone ages at the same time and that means MANY abandoned buildings and it can screw a lot of things up
- Collitions in general with other AI and the map
- Roads: No ingame side texture of tunnels, no ingame fixing of lights and exchanging roads by plop down buildings
- Water acting a bit wierd
-- Maps can only be constant winter weather or never have winter weather
-- Budget can't be automatic for example energy consumption, so you waste money producing too much one day and next day not enough electricity

My rating is 8/10 (SimCity2013 would have 8/10 the first hours until the map gets filled thanks to specialisations and the looks. But in the end it was badly made and EA haven't cared to fix much 4/10. It is a great game at first sight but bad in the long run)
Has to be done in Cities Skylines:
Simple fixes from thedevelopers could be done but hasn't been done
Looking forward to a semi campaign mode
Needs better in game architecture
Needs colour corrections/filters ingame
