I wish I could leave a mixed review

the good:
-visually new areas look stunning
-the exploration aspect of the new areas is fantastic, lots of verticality and interesting ways to get places

the bad:
-atrocious PC performance compared to base game, had no issues keeping 60fps, but lots of areas in the new map keep tanking my fps to below 40
-questionable boss design, and its NOT about the difficulty. Some of the bosses are straight up just not fun to fight and/or have terrible hitboxes
-last boss is disappointing, and the story ending is anti-climactic

I will change this review to positive once they fix the performance and tweak some of the bosses

Adding micro-transactions and now a battle pass, 2 months after release with no prior word.

Absolutely NOT worth full price. I feel scammed.

Second time now I try to play this game

first time when it came to epic I can't even launch the game (error messages)

second time now game starts, I make my character, so far so good.
after first cutscene everything is black except the UI (restarts or setting changes, no fix)

maybe in another half a year, I will get to play the game, surely

Beautiful art-style and an interesting premise, however the underlying game is mediocre at best.

Story moments, albeit nice, are few and far between. The never ending fetch quests and repetitive mini-games turn into a chore after a while. Going back to already explored areas to grind for materials is not fun. The platforming is very basic, can be clunky sometimes and is mostly about having the correct ability unlocked.

The game may appear relaxing, but I found the mountain of small tasks the game keeps throwing at you pretty stressful.
After 15 hours I can't bring myself to finish it, I really tried.

Simple gameplay but very fun.
Lots of characters / weapons to unlock.
Worth the price.

Game is 90% clunky platforming, 10% combat.
Died? Spend minutes platforming to your corpse only to die to a spike trap again!
Combat feels very basic and stiff (no animation cancels).
Cannot configure keyboard keybinds for menu navigation and controls (like text scrolling).
Disappointing. Only buy if you like hardcore platformers.
