TL;DR: 10/10 The game is a must-have for any fan interested in first-person shooter with a very deep storyline. If you intend to play this game for fun, I am afraid you should not buy this, because you will only reap 20-30% out of this game.

Long Explanation: Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person shooter action with RPG element, that puts the player in V, the main character with a deep background. Players will have a life in Night City, the other bigger main character of
the whole Cyberpunk series.

Why I said so? Because Night City, and also Dogtown (the small district which Phantom Liberty, the DLC revolves around) have their very own humanlike characteristics that I fall in love with over time.

I have played the game from the Day 1. On first glance, this looks like a city of crime, with so many guns blazing, cars crashing, police patrolling, mercenaries doing jobs. However, the more I play the game, the more I understand its people more, and realize Night City is actually like my city or just anywhere, with so clear distinction of walks of life. The rich parties while sending out jobs to fill their pockets, while the poor live in slums, with fire in barrels to keep them warm at night. The city itself has breaths to it, by day, a busy city just like any other, people flocking to work at restaurants, street foods, shops. By night, the city turns into gang war places, gunfights here and there between crime gangs and police forces. Most players go by the city without looking at its design, its infrastructures, which is a huge miss. You gotta look at the colors, the ads, each street, each junction has its own beauty. The city is truly alive in so many ways you can miss if you treat it as a normal city. Most citizens too, are randomized by the game. However, their clothes are very logically and fashionably put on, and that, too is one of the unique beauty of the game.

Everyone in Night City tries to live through the day, making ends meet. Among them are the legends, the mercenaries who rise above by taking risks, confronting Corporates (or Corpos) to help bring back some balance to the rich-poor gap. In this city, it's either you make big or die, or rot gradually. Here and there, you still see forms of entertainments, clubbing, outside music party hanging, dancing, or even roller-coasters. But that's pretty much about it,.. short-lived funs, kind of reminding me of my current city as well.

V, the main character, through players' action, will have a journey unlike any other game, with huge emotional rollercoasters. The game presents various tough moral decisions, with matching consequences that will make the players be aware of their actions.

To incorporate V's actions, CDPR introduced so many things to accommodate V's life. Cars, weapons, skills, food, clothing, 6 apartments, and cyberwares are the main supports. The other so underrated factor would be V's connection to the Night City, and its people. On the way, V will meet so many people, each with unique story, and characteristics.

As for Phantom Liberty and its updates, CDPR has finally turned the table around, silencing all the haters, solidifying themselves as one of top 10 developers in the world, if not top 3. I have never lost faith in CDPR since Day 1, ever since I finished the Witcher 3. I cannot fathom why haters hate CDPR, even though I respect their opinion.

Phantom Liberty, to me, is a storyline that I will never forget even after I die one day. Every single choice has its own weight, none of them ever light as a feather. And it's this DLC that allows me to realize deeper the beauty that is Night City, for what it truly is.

The music soundtracks, for me, unfortunately, I am not yet much of a fan of most of the tracks, except for some really special ones (Phantom Liberty, Kill the Messenger, Barrio, Resist and Disorder, Chipping In, Black Dog, and of course I Really Want…. ) , but I am sure they fit the theme of the city.

The game is 10/10 for me. It definitely makes me feel so heavy after finishing, to the point that I have to write out, in order to lessen this weight inside my heart.

And the latest update that CDPR added the color choosing of the cars ? That's exactly what I have hoped they would do for a long time, because that's such a needed customization feature! And when CDPR released it, I was like "Now the game is complete. There's nothing I want more, no loophole for me".

Thank you CDPR. I really made the right choice to preorder any game from you.
