I have a healthy and and definitely manageable addiction to this game.

This is what CHATGPT would make if I asked for a Wildlands successor.

Compared to this Wildlands should be considered a modern day masterpiece.

Literally zero mission variety whatsoever, you just run from point A to point B killing braindead AI (unless you're in higher difficulties where the enemy is straight up aimbotting). No memorable locations in a huge map that feels and looks the same from so much asset repetition. Progression system is laughable with nothing interesting in terms of new skills (maybe minus the breaching torch which is VERY situational)

As with Wildlands traversing the map is a HUGE pain in the ass, as most of the times you can't go over simple obstacles like short fences. Parachuting on the other hand which I thought couldn't get any worse from the first game, is totally unusable since you can only base jump from VERY specific places and the helicopter where the camera work gets SO disorienting you might as well not do it altogether.

This game is just a stripped down worse version of Wildlands. No redeeming qualities. Stay away.

I have invested way too many hours on this game outside of Steam. This is my most played game ever(say 1k at the very least), which is due to its addictive game-play when paired with a team of friends and voice communication.

For the most part it was an awful GTA clone and we all knew it but still loved it nonetheless. It had some fresh ideas and some cool concepts such as cool cars, mods and such but they all came with a hefty price. Spending 50s and 100s for new overpowered weapons and car kits was the bare minimum for every player, else you couldn't even compete.

The game was and I suspect still is infested with hackers, closeted and not. Although it felt great going up against a hacker and winning, in the long run it was just draining my patience and I decided to quit.

The developers had a bad habit of never coming through with their promises. Promises like an engine upgrade which probably never came. The game ran like garbage even if you had a high end PC.

No doubt in my mind I had some of my greatest gaming experiences playing this game and I met some cool people along the way. But that's in the past. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, there's far better choices out there.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest games ever made. A masterpiece from start to finish.

This game is SOOO close to being a good HR successor, but its numerous shortcomings deter me from calling it that. Most of what made HR compelling is still there with MD, but that games' faults are still present here.

Totally buggy cover system, eh combat system(which is probably due to the stealthy nature of the game, but still so many lethal weapons and I didn't even use any of them.) and the quest system that for some reason removes your ongoing sidequests when you progress on the main story, making you replay the game from the start if you wanna experience them.

Not much is new about this game except the few "new" available upgrades for your augs, which feel luckluster to say the least(Except the remote hacking which is pretty neat for distracting opponents and other stealth stuff). Choices are still there and for the most part give you a little bit of freedom to roleplay. I also noticed that this game only had one boss as opposed to HR which had a few.

What totally bugged me was the ending. Never have I experienced a more rushed and abrupt ending in my entire life. You literally defeat the final boss talk to a guy and credits roll. This was completely awful and disrepectful to the players that sat through this story and wanted an at least compelling ending. You don't even get something close to that and that's a shame.

I'm pretty mixed about this game, but the quality is still there so I will have to recommend it, especially to someone like myself who absolutely loved Human Revolution. If you haven't, play that one first for sure.

I am late to this game, but I feel this is one the better installments of the series. It has everything I ever wanted from a NFS game. Cool cars, arcady handling with easy but satisfying drifting and a forgettable story (at least the didn't go the cringey live action cutscene route with this one)
About 90% of this game plays and feels like a The Crew reskin. From the huge open world to the card upgrades and derelict hunts. I feel that that was a good thing and a step in the right direction for the series, since it give players more variety and things to do.
My only two complaints with the game are:
1)Unlike The Crew not everything on the map is traversable, meaning that even the offroading sequences of this game have certain places that can be done. You can't just leave the road at any time and go off-roading.
2)Lastly, the difficulty feels cheap at certain times. Getting a card that upgrades your card a few points over the recommended amount for a race could get you a very easy race while other times you will be struggling to keep up. That's microtransactions for you. Also playing on the hardest difficulty the game didn't feel too challenging except a few boss races where the opponent literally slingshots forward for no reason.

All in all I would definitely recommend this game to anybody that wants a good open world NFS experience. You won't get tired. 8/10
