And while it has to be fast, it also needs to be a platformer and a shooter at the same time. Well, people at Angel Matrix did imagine and create a game like this, and it's called "Neon White".

I genuinly love this game. It's one of my favorite games I've ever played. It has good sountrack, which was made by MachineGirl, it has good plot, it has good, as devs said, "lighting fast" gameplay - it basically has everything what an old-school player needs.
Of course, there are collectibles in this game. Like, I can't say that it's bad, especially when you actually gain something from it (in this case, plot details), but eh.

Anyways, but this game. It's good, and I promise you'll like it.
