Early Access Review
This game is a nightmare in the most positive of ways... I love sandbox games and survival games. Most games however get kind of old quickly... This game so far is only getting more interesting because it is as challenging as it is. I started on Mars in normal mode and everything so far has been hell... But I look forward to going to Vulcan or other maps once I get some more experience in...

I never really got into Space Engineers, probably one of the most popular games in this genre, just because I always felt that it was too finicky. This game feel kind of like the perfect blend between approachable at the start of the game, without it being oversimplified. The care that was taken to make this game feel realistic is pretty impressive.

Some reviews will read that this game has been in early access for seven years and as a late arrival I can only confirm that is true and not make any conclusions about the path to get here. But if you think about it, these days early access has lost its meaning. It is just a way ideally for passionate developers to kickstart their passion project and make a living at the same time. Unlike some other early access games, this game still gets regular major updates. It is not abandonware and the developers have kept working on it for seven years so far to make it as good as they possibly can. That is quite the achievement.

I've seen games in early access for a long time that were at some point rushed out just to get it over with, often completely ruining the gameplay by the time it was finally released as a version 1.0. I hope that does not happen here, but so far I've seen nothing but good things. There are DLCs but anyone who'd look at them without a stick up their @rse would realize that these are not actual feature DLCs but just small fun cosmetic items, with the goal of providing a convenient way to continue to support the development of this game. Keep in mind that development cost a lot of money and years of development for a game without a live service model is not easy to pull off!

So with that said, thank you to the entire team behind this game. As a software engineer myself I can appreciate the scope of your achievement here and I really enjoy what you've made. Well worth the full sticker-price that I payed for it. I really hope you guys can keep supporting this game and make it even more amazing, but I understand the reality of business as well, so even if today this would be the final product, I think it's still worth every cent.

TL;DR Would fill space suit with fuel by accident again. Do recommend.

This game is pretty amazing. It is Forager in 3D essentially, but way better in terms of gameplay. The controls are well thought out and the game runs very smoothly. Overall great experience!

Melvor is pretty amazing. I've played Runescape for decades and this certainly captures some of that nostalgia in its content. I have 52 hours in-game currently on steam, but I play mostly on my phone for convenience. If you like idle games, this is certainly an amazing find. Not only is the game incredibly under-priced in my opinion, there is no micro transactions or anything to deal with. You can buy it and enjoy it.

Pretty great game, but the studio promised multiplayer and then just completely flaked. A lot of wasted potential here.

I'm not a big fan of tower defense games. I do love this game. There's a lot of strategy involved in this. You may not notice it at first when you play at lower difficulty, but you have to balance your perks and the actions you take in every round vary carefully in order to maximize your score (and not die).

The style of the game is very unique. I have no particular opinion on it, but I will definitely associate this style with this game, making it way less forgettable than a lot of games that just do the same old boring things.

The devs state that theres 3-5 hours of gameplay, but if you include all of the quests, then I would say that it is far far more than that. Some quests require pretty hard difficulty modifiers, so it will take most people (including me) some time to complete them. I am now 7 hours in and I expect that easily to triple by the time I've finished all of the quests.

The game can be very difficult, but in a good way. It is challenging, but if you fail, it is easy to start over. There's only a limited number of waves, so you may lose some time if you have to start over, but it is quite manageable. Sometimes I do wonder if some additional waves would be nice when I'm on a roll, but overall I think it is quite balanced this way.

Finally an expansion bad enough to make me quit the game.

The survival sandbox genre is one of my favorite. I've been looking for a new game to scratch that itch and Forever Skies seems to match that description. The game is pretty well built, but does feel a bit grindy at times, though not uncommon for the genre. There is not much story content yet, but the stuff that is there is pretty nice. Once you're though the story content, you can get some more fun out of the base building aspect. In essence, this is Raft on an airship. I am looking forwards to the coming updates.

Best part of the game is Eververse Store. Always works without any issues, unlike the rest of the game of course. So go play Eververse today. Bring your wallet!
