On first glance this game is quite well engineered. However, on closer inspection as mentioned in other reviews, it has a lot of issues. For one, the hitboxes of the objects in the game are not properly working and the high score website is no longer available after only 4 years. Even at this price, I cannot recommend it.

This game is pretty interesting. Despite mixed reviews, I decided to buy it and I don't regret that. The game actually has a lot going for it. Playing the game is very intuitive, which is something where a lot of survival games struggle. The game itself is also a pretty impressive technical achievement. The visuals are great, the gameplay is pretty good too. Overall, I would say that this game has the makings of a really great title.

The downside then, is that the game gets quite grindy and repetitive after a while. There is no story arc and after you have explored the map a bit, there's not a lot of challenge. This is masked by the fact that the game spawns enemies and loot quite randomly through various locations on the map. I do believe that this is something the developers will eventually address.

The game also features a system which I have never seen before and which I find quite ingenious. Between development cycles, when a new major version lands, all official servers are reset. The catch here is that you don't lose everything, but you can save a part of your progress in special locations, so you have a basis to start from the next time the game is reset.

UPDATE: So I decided to quit playing this game and for the same reason I would not recommend it right now. Like I said previously in my review, the game is is intuitive and a pretty nice technical achievement. The downside is that the lack of content makes it extremely repetitive and it takes the fun out of it after a while. The game is actively developed and updated, but the developers choose to bundle updates into big releases with only small bugfixes in between. Having to wait for new content to play for such a long time when there is not that much around in the game is quite frustrating. If the amount of content increases in the future, I would certainly recommend playing though.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. The premise of your character growing whilst playing being part of the gameplay and the difficulty is something I have not seen before or at least not in this format. Very nice!

Took me a few tries to get into this game. It felt a bit clumsy at first, but it was still very early development at that point. Now that some updates have passed, I really enjoy playing this. If you're a fan of survival games and especially space based survival games, this might be the game for you. There are some gameplay elements which I feel could be worked out a bit better, but overall the game feels quite intuitive. Some games like Space Engineers kind of get in their own way because of the amount of flexibility and customization provided, making it hard to get into playing it. This game finds a pretty good balance in that.

Even at its price-point, this game offers very little content. The gameplay is very simple and there's not really any point to it. Given that the execution of the game implementation is actually very good, I think the developer's talent was wasted on this game.

The absolutely worst "game" I have ever come across on steam. This is a high-school programming assignment, not a game. There's not even a button or menu to exit the program. It is very troubling that it even got listed on Steam in the first place.

Though for $1 you do actually get a game, it is a very simple game. That being said, the game does have some qualities to it, but I feel that the author quit the development just prior to completion, leaving out some much needed but minor polishings. A small update with some tweaks towerds a more user-friendly experience would make the game a lot better.

Very clumsy implementation of the classic game Mahjong. The game's menu's do not feel intuitive and there's only one background track which is played over and over and over... until you can't stand it anymore.

After a short game, I have to say... I don't know. I understand why the game gets so many bad reviews. It is unpolished and a bit awkward. Nothing is really how you expect it to be. That being said, it is an early access, so most of these things should be forgiven. Seeing as the devs release frequent updates, I do think this game has potential and I definetly wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

If you like the franchise, you will like this game. It is essentially more of the same, and I mean that in a good way. You gather experience by exploring every nook and cranny of the world and complete missions. The game has a nice storyline and some DLC content in case you run out.
